Quote of the Day!

Things seem to be taken far too seriously lately so this is my chosen quote...it's brilliant!

"Ladies and gentlemen take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice."

~ Sidney Freedman (Allan Arbus - M*A*S*H) ~

here's a few promoting wisdom

one goal of dialogue among cultures and civilizations is to recognize and to understand not only cultures and civilizations of others, but those of one's own. We could know ourselves by taking a step away from ourselves and embarking on a journey away from self and homeland and eventually attaining a more profound appreciation of our true identity.
It is only through immersion in another existential dimension that we attain mediated and acquired knowledge of ourseves in addition to the immediate and direct knowledge of ouselves that we commonly possess. Through seeing others we attain a hitherto impossible knowledge of ourselves.

~Mohommed Khatami, (Former) President of Iran

One of the most important messages of the quoran is that there is no compulsion in the way we live our lives. This lays the basis of tolerance in human conduct.

~Benazir Bhutto

And if it harm none, do as you will!

~Wiccan philosophy

Oh scarlet! That is such a good one!

I agree with you Sally, lovely Scarlet!

Been there done that; and almost been destroyed in the process!

Loving sometimes is akin to just being plain stupid...especially if you trust the wrong man!

thank you...it seems to be the one that has stuck with me. Regardless of how many times we get hurt...we seem to throw our hearts right back out there. But, I would hate to think of what would happen if we stopped.

All of the following quotes are by my greatest role model and favourite musician of all time - Marilyn Manson. These quotes are almost as if they left my own lips so let me see if I can convert a few more people... I hope they inspire and touch you like they did me, a lot of these are painted on my wall of insanity...

"Part of me is afraid to get close to people because I'm afraid they're going to leave."

“When you're taught to love everyone, to love your enemies, then what value does that place on love?”

"I never said to be like me. I say to be like you and make a difference."

"Music is the strongest form of magic."

"People tend to associate anyone who looks and behaves differently with illegal or immoral activity."

"When all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed."

“We live in a society of victimization, where people are much more comfortable being victimized than actually standing up for themselves.”

The above quote inspired my own: "We are victims of our own volition..."

An out pouring of my love this morning; I stopped at four I could have gone on forever:eek::):rose:
