If anyone says the absurdity that "Nazis were socialists", just mention the Night of the Long Knives, Otto Strasser, Strasserism and Beefsteak Nazis to them, and they are lost. The Nazi "left" (aka Beefsteak Nazis, meaning brown on the outside, red on the inside), who believed in a "second revolution" after January 1933 to establish "national socialism", were purged from 1930-1934.

What came after the crushing of the left in Germany in the 1930s? The Nazi state forcibly aiding German big business to profitability, complete at the expense of the defenseless non-unionized workers. And then later, invading other lands to oppress foreign workers even more than German workers and to find new markets and new materials to exploit. Mr DeYoung gave his account to the outlet over the phone from an emergency room where he said he was being treated for a broken rib.
