marvelous Monday

I'd knock the dust off myself but I'm afraid of what might fall off with it.

I think I'll just have a hard lemonade while I still have the wherewithall to bend my elbow:rolleyes:

I was once in a bar like this when I overheard two cowboys talking about sexual positions.
"I just love reverse cowgirl," said the first, "My girl sure knows how to ride."

"That's truly fine," said the other, "But I'm partial to the Rodeo."

"Never heard of that," said the first, "how does it go?"

"Well, it starts off like doggy style," his friend replied, "then you lean forward and whisper in her ear, 'Baby, you're almost as good at this as your sister.' After that you just try and hold on for 8 seconds."

Kit  .. I'm sure you will get there before you know it.

It's the season between Summer and Winter here (see I didn't mention the four letter word) so it will soon be time for some skiing hopefully :)

Leaves a bowl filled with kisses for those who wants or needs them.

I'm getting somewhere HT...have no idea where, but a different place. I don't know if that's good or bad, like many things I guess it just is.

It's cold here, inside and out. None of the white stuff but it will be here before long. I hope you get lots and the skiing is fabulous.

Lady Kit :rose:

I followed your advice and told my son I loved him. It never hurts. The loving and the telling are always worth doing.

God bless

Subo,

Saying the things that matter, or even those that are inconsequential, never hurts...and you'll never be sorry that you did. I was reminded of that after a conversation with my son, who is home on leave from the Middle East. He told me that there was a time he grew tired of hearing Mac say "I'm proud of you." He said that he didn't always know why, and thought that it was just something Mac (the step-dad) said to be nice. It wasn't, Mac was proud of both "our" kids. I reminded my son of that...he said that he knows that now, and that he'd give anything to hear Mac say it just one more time.

I guess the lesson for me is not only say what you feel while you can, but listen and appreciate what others say to you.

If I don't make it back before Christmas let me wish you all a joyous holiday season and a very happy new year.

Kit  .. I have lots and lots of the fluffy stuff now and I'm ready to ski any day.

Hi Subo .. long time no subo

Waves at Mari . .hi there

Happy New Year

Joyeux Noël , Merry Christmas

And may you all find your heart’s desire beneath your tree on Christmas Morn.

Happy Holidays

A very merry Christmas to all.:D

I had the flu for about a week and spent the time in bed:mad: Alone:eek:

But with every New Year, Hope springs eternal. Tonight I shall make some shrimp salad and share it with my son. I took a page from Scrooge and bought a Chrstmas goose which I shall be cooking with glee--and orange glaze:D

God bless us, everyone.

I survived Christmas. Now I just need to make it through New Years Eve and into 2011 without a complete meltdown. And with that I'll stop over-sharing.

I'm going to try to enter the new year feeling grateful for what I still have, and that includes you.

My best wishes to you all.

Kit

Seasons Greetings all!

I had a great Christmas and have come home for a quiet New Year!

Life is never perfect, but there is much we can be grateful for ... the friends we have on here not being the least ....

So love and best wishes to you all!

The skies are off and

so are my cloves.

Hi Everybody, it's about time I sneak into the Roof isn't it?

Turk, I hope you have made sure that it is still possible to get a glass or two.

What a winter it has been especially for those who loves snow.

The cold weather is a perfect excuse for cuddling so I don't mind ;)

Looking forward

It's been a long time since I climbed the stairs to Ricks. In many ways it was in another lifetime.

I need to come back now, to remember good times and laughter...and hopefully, in this familiar place, I'll find some old friends who can help me remember how to be alive.

Life is good;) especially when you hear the voice of an old friend whispering in the wind.:rose:

Turk, pop some champagne, the lovely Lady Kit is in the house.

Subo, still a sweetie.

Turk, I'll take that champagne and raise you some chocolate covered strawberries. Then break out the cleaning supplies this place has gone dusty! Does no one visit the Roof anymore?

something stirs in a far corner...under the dust emerges a once-familiar face who yawns and shrugs, then sighs

So many places I fail to visit these days...hello Lady crossing quickly to bow and kiss Kit's hand Always a pleasure to see you...doing well, I hope?

accepting the kiss with a smile and a kiss on the cheek in return

Hello Remec, it's good to see some familiar faces, and to be so warmly welcomed.

I am as well as I can be, better than I expected, and growing stronger every day. Loneliness is the enemy now...and certain unfulfilled needs.

I hoped to find a thread that might catch my interest, but the world of Lit seems to have changed. So far, I haven't found anything that makes me want to read farther than the first or second post. Read anything good lately?

Well, I'm off to check the plumbing on the hot tub. Subo has provided the champagne to start the relaxation process, and now I feel the need for a good long soak to complete the process.

I don't know about the hot tub, but my plumbing is just fine;)

Like you, LadyKit, I miss the halcyon days of Lit writing. I'm just arrogant enough to think I may have contributed in some small way. LadyKit, now, there's no doubt about her contributions and I was privilaged to share some threads with the lovely lady.:) Anyway, there were a good many entertaining (and dare I say, erotic) threads emanating from this dusty old bar.

LadyKit, I know it's been a hard year, but it is so nice to see the bloom back on your rose.:rose::rose: Life is irrrepressible. And that avatar is downright classy,

Remec, still looking cool and classy.

Subo, have I ever told you that I find erudite men sexy? I like plumbers too. ;)

We did have some wonderful times and spun some grand stories. Your contribution was a stimulating part of those days. For my part, I'll just say I had really good writing partners and that I'd share a thread with you any day.

I do miss the folks that used to frequent the Roof. I hope that their lives outside of Lit were as entertaining as those we created here. Mine was, and though it didn't go on for as long as I had hoped, it was a helluva ride while it lasted. I wouldn't have missed Mac for anything.

Glad you like the av. Naughtiness is so much more fun when you balance with some class. Maybe that's why a strand of pearls and black seamed stockings go so well together.

 Good Night

hump day happiness

Turk, a tall cold one, please. I had to give my students their first taste of reality today. Not all of them are used to success or that actual work is one of its ingredients. I set my class up on the simple premise that work creates success. It breaks my heart to see children giving up at such an early age; some of them carry such burdens, but that just lets me do the best part of my job: helping children grow up.

Do I have suds on my lip?

LadyKit, thanks for the sweet words. I always did have a weakness for sweets:devil: Maybe we can work something out and show Lit how it was done in the Golden Age.==with class.;)

Subo, I hoped you might volunteer to be my partner. I have an idea that I will send to you. Thanks.

Turk, put the gentleman's drink on my tab and get the jukebox repair guy in here. Ricks needs music.

Night all

Ricks is too quiet. Perhaps music will attract attention. I'm starting out with some classics by Michael Bouble' If that's too subtle I'll move on to Toby Keith, and David Lee Roth...If the situation seem truly dire I'll bring out the Barry Mannilow just to see if you're paying attention.

:D

Turk, help me untangle my two left feet.:( In the meantime I'll warm up my vocal chords--no, that's not a chicken beingKit, you don't strangled. At least I can listen to music without mangling it.

LadyKit, you don't need music to get attention, especially mine, all you have to do is breath in your own sublime way. When you speak, I'm all ears, otherwise I'm all eyes. Like the girl from Ipanema, when you go walking, all the boys go, "aaahhhh":rose:

I'm getting enthused about writing again, I shall begin whittling my wit.
