I arrive smiling my arms filled with two huge baskets of home made exotically colored Lei.

I stayed up all night making these, tradition has it that one should be given to each guest as they arrive I think.

*blushing slightly I giggle and teasingly sugest*

Clothing for the more shy people such as myself...yes?

They do hide a bit...

They look lovely, as does their creator...if I may say so, that is. :rose: So, are you suggesting you might be considering wearing a grass skirt and a lei as opposed to a bikini top?

Works for me. :devil::D

I blush at his words

Saying nothing my eyes on his I unloosen my braid shaking my thick tawny hair loose from its confines. As the shiny waves break free they cascade around my shoulders like a living curtain hiding most of my upper body from his view.

Pushing a lock behind my ear I smile softly blushing more

" See a lei and a grass skirt would be very proper attire for me with or without a bikini top."

A Hawaiian theme! Wonderful, idea. The lei are beautiful Yeishia, what a thoughtful thing to do. May I offer a flower back? :rose:

Vailyn, I'll take one of those sarongs please. I think I'll pass on the grass skirt. As evidenced by my AV I have no qualms about going topless, and I love the idea of having a lei in lieu of a top. ;)

Mari, you set a wonderful table, and have a keen eye for helpers. I confess, I enjoyed your young men...watching them that is. I don't know much about Hawaiian cuisine, but I'd welcome all varieties of fruit that the islands can provide. :nana: (sorry, couldn't resist using the banana)

Remec, as I recall Ari had a rule about clothes in his hot tub, or maybe he just liked seeing the ladies in the buff. I prefer "optional" to "clothing" and shall not dress accordingly. Keeping the rules in mind, I will try very hard to be nude, not naked. :D

Raven, thank you for the supplies. It's been years since I had to don a level A suit, and I hope that today isn't the day I need to do it again We'd better find some industrial fans to blow out the cleaning fumes or we might not be welcome at the party. Speaking of, we're going to need lots of ice and someplace to keep food cool. Maybe we should done a gas mask and check the freezer and the walk-in. Unless you're afraid to go into the walk-in.

It feels really nice to be back at Ricks. Thanks, all of you, for helping to wake the place up!

~Smiling I tuck the flower in my hair behind my ear~

Thank you so very much...I think I shall follow your example , a lei and a sarong.

Shyly I venture to ask...do you prefer Lady Kit or simply Kit?

Please call me, Kit, Yeishia.

Good choice. You'll look lovely in a lei and sarong with all that beautiful hair.

I smiled softly and whispered thank you Kit as I carefully choose a sarong that matched the lei I wore. Carrying my treasures I slipped out of the cafe to try on the garments and prepare for the upcoming party.

Sunday(1)

He watched her leave from the shadows where he had slipped when he went inactive. She seemed to have just the right type of shyness to draw his attention and he puttered about the place, continuing the clean-up and decoration while running over potential topics of conversation. Not merely for talking with Yeishia, he reminded himself, although newly met acquaintances did tend to take precedence, sometimes.

"I wonder if anyone has seen our staff bartender or if he managed to get mothballed along with the inventory and backstock?"

Kit do you know what the nice thing about being a WareRaven is? For one I am my own shop fan. And two I'll probably our live Twinkies and roaches. Even after the fun filled night of walk ins and painting. If we survive this clean up the next ones will be a lot easier. The floors are still sealed. And the wall once there all patched up will be to. We could clean most of this place with a pressure washer.

Look if no body else is brave enough to, I'll ware the coconut bra.

Coconut bra huh? I've heard that it can be a little scratchy. *grins*

Yesishia, you look beautiful! Long hair is great cover, distraction and teasing peak.

Glad that the ladies are finding use for the sarongs. =)

I think I'll wear a bikini and grass skirt to do a hula dance and then change into a sarong for the rest of the party.

Has anyone been in touch with Turk? Do you think we can get him to come back?

*Letting an impish grin fill my face, I go over to a small shopping bag and pull out a hand full of colorful material.*

For the gentleman, I bought some tropical swimming briefs. Some are scandalously skimpy. *laughs*

Vailyn, I like the way you think! Can't wait to see how our Roofers look in those tiny briefs. What a treat.

Remec, I saw Turk about a year ago, I think he was chasing some woman at the time. Nothing new right?

Very convenient Raven. Any other special talents you care to share? *opens blue eyes wide in feigned shock* Next time, I hope there is no next time! Though if launch parties get you into a coconut bra it might be worth the work. :D

Any other talents... You mean besides looking good in my athletic shorts(spandex). I have a few. But you have to peal back the layers one at a time Kit. One at a time. Speaking of talents, I've fixed everything I could get my hands on up stairs. And cleaned out about half of the closets. And i have made a fair amount of shadows for people to"get lost in. What else do we need done?

Raven, peeling back layers is one of my favorite things to do. :)

The place looks great, I think the only thing left is to step back and let the ladies pull the party together.

Slips back in with an arm full of tea candles in tiny burnished copper holders , which she scatters every where, magic, they will remain perpetually lit casting a soft glow throughout the cafe when the other lights are dimmed.

Yeishia, you look beautiful! Long hair is great cover, distraction and teasing peak.

* smiles softly*

thank you Vailyn...although knowing myself, my sarong will probably be worn above my breasts at least to start with. *blushes*

It's been way too long but

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

to all friends out there.

Lives a bowl filled with chocolate kisses on the table.

2014 Revival

Wishing this old place was up and running again. The Lounge could use a meeting place where old friends can reunite and where new ones can stop by and where the traditions are retained.

*Sets about an action plan of dusting and sorting in the hope that the lull after the relaunch party can be turned on its head and attract like minded patrons.*

:rose:

* giggles*

I am still waiting for the party that never was.

yeisha!!!

*huggles her and laughs*

So glad to see you here ... nostalgia led me to seek this place out.
I'm tiring of the conversation in another place that used to feel more homely.

Perhaps this place might act as more of a time warp and refuge for real conversation...?

:rose:

* blushing I return her hug*

I know what you mean bur to be honest my slow typing makes lounge conversation harder for me.

When I first found this lounge I was happy how welcoming it was. This made it easier for me I think.

No one throwing pot shots or prejudging.

At least the China Pearl is busy again and I am sure now that you have reawakened Rick's others will follow.

* smiling I look around*

Would you like some help Mari? :rose:

I felt there were 'pot shots and prejudging. in abundance last evening ... but I said what I felt I needed to say ... there seems a lack of respect for Cg's wishes in regards to the nature of the interaction in what is HIS Inn - busy does not always mean better I think, yeisha .... and yes ... if you have time I'd love some help. I thought I'd sort out the glasses and coffee machine and see if the kitchens are still in working order ... nothing like the scent of good food and drink to persuade people through the doors ...

It is disquieting when newcomer presumes to know you not having even having even introduced themselves. * shrugs* I must admit I assumed they were an alt, it seems to be the in thing to do here theses days.

You are probably right about the busy, it just in Solliquium I am used to being alone CG is not ... so when the China Pearl is empty I feel for him. I do miss the way it was * blushes* maybe I am getting old lol, set in my ways. I enjoy conversation s where both viewpoints are respected one which doesn't become a platform for debate and controversy.

I enjoy the China because as a rule I feel safe to be myself there.

* grins* I have said enough I shall start in the kitchen. I adore cooking but will tackle the cleaning and restocking.

Yes, putting down others and their interests and traditions whilst actually in the Inn they run ... I'm afraid I felt I had to defend what the Inn stands for ...

*blushes and smiles*

"I am glad I did, though and the ignore button has come in very handy to deal with subsequent comments which may/may not be made. You and I are of the old fashioned way of thinking yeisha, which I think is nothing we should have to apologise for."

*smiles as yeisha heads into the kitchen and sets to cleaning the coffee machine and seeing to the cups and mugs and glasses and sorting through bottles ... happy to work companionably.*

I am happy you did Mari

* I am smiling as I head to the kitchen content also to work companionably. I hum a few bars of Over the Rainbow. as I work.

Sometimes it is surprising where one finds such a beloved place I feel blessed indeed today.:rose:

*finishes with the machines and gets a bucked of soapy water and begins to wash down the tables and chairs... and then of course the top of the bar*

Mmmm .... I think this place could do very well ...

:rose:

Dropping by remembering all the great times a long time ago...

Remembering fondly old friends who I've lost touch with--hunting_tiger and ariosto. And others too--Sienna (I well remember the beautiful drawings ariosto did of you) and Maid of Marvels...

Good times, great writers all of you. *sipping my cocktail and enjoying the memories*

I don't expect I'll be around too much again, but thought of Lit and had to take a wander through.

Hoping life is treating all of my "old" friends well.

Hugs,
mya

Hi Mya :)

What a nice surprise to see you here again.

We sure had some fun back in the good old days .. No matter if it was in a hot tub filled with "good" friends or in a busy thread trying to keep up with your writing partners.

I looked at a couple of pages in this thread . all the memories it brought up not to mention names.

Wishing the best for all old friends.

Hugs
Tiger
