Safe Words – What Do You Use?

I prefer Zero in English and Kaala (black) in hindi.

Both are simple, have low syllable counts, so my subs can get them out fast. They are also words regularly used in day to day life so they don't have to think too much in the moment.

Plus no other words that we used during rough play/strike play can be confused with them, so I can immediately stop the moment I hear Z or Ka.

If they are being face fucked or are gagged, then the simplest non verbal signal is three quick slaps on my thigh.

If they are gagged and their hands are bound shaking their head thrice, at which point I immediately stop and check up on them.

The characters in my stories generally use red, yellow, green.

My wife and I use one we picked up at a house party. I only ever thought of using it once, at that same party - a drunk guy grabbed me and wouldnt stop kissing me, then got upset when I wasn't the person he intended to grab.

Like you, I don't have one. My wife and I had a lot of very deep discussions about our likes and dislikes with all things sex. We understood each other completely. There were things that were a no go for her and very few no goes for me. Within that frame, we never had the need for a safe word. Ours was a largely CFNM relationship, and I never found the need or desire to stop any of our play. She pushed me to my limits a couple of times and even a bit farther on rare occasions. God, I miss her!
