That's quite OK. You are right, we do have differing values about this. I'm from a more mystical bent of mind (if an atheist can be a mystic, lol, maybe it'd be more accurate to say that I think in rather long terms) and I've never put a very strong valuation on my own life. It's important but not that important when I weigh it against a few other extremely important (to me) values. Suspect I've been this way too long to change. I know I've said this already, but it's OK if people, whether on a forum or close friends or even lovers, differ on fundamental issues, as long as each can give each other breathing space to have their own views. You seem to be the type who is capable of doing that.

Although you may feel that way, I have never ever seen you try to ram your opinions down another's throat, or refuse to accept the existance of another's lifestyle simply because it is beyond your experience. I haven't bailed completely. It's just that I have limited time online anymore and I don't choose to waste it tilting at windmills. I come to relax and goof around and I'm not going to sit here and defend myself and my lifestyle to those who are too stubborn to admit "the possibility of being". LOL, you mean some of us were thinking too hard...and I thought compared to some of the older threads from a year or so ago, it was relatively low key!! For myself, I am all for thinking and getting the brain cells working, especially on the Talk forum where it is more likely to happen....for one thing it could help ward off Alzeimer's.

Well, I could always hold a gun to my head (razor blades being what they are :/ ) and threaten to kill myself if you don't accept my position. Will that do?

My theory about forums is that people who are new to them yell and stomp and scream a lot and then after five years or 10 years or 15 (or, could you believe, 20?) you finally get hoarse fingers and give it a rest. Or you get too old and arthritic to type and your voice quavers so much that the speech recognition program types nonsense when you dictate--which reminds me, I need to look into the latest generation of those as ;dgoap a jkb ghgguuh 'qwor bk;. eiwprupoig......--kkl
