I can't remember if the police got involved, I know my son's school threatened it. There was talk of people who sent the photos going on the sex offenders register, if prosecuted, and that affecting job prospects.

Yup. It may have been threats rather than actual police, I knew we were all terrified of repercussions.

This is one of the reasons for the rule about owning the image and having permission to post it here. Just because somebody took it and sent to to someone doesn't mean they want it posted here.
