Self Promotion THreads - A Do or Don't?

I really don't care enough about the poll. Personally, I don't self promote, but I don't really care if others do - I just ignore them.

Should self promotion threads be embraced?

I neither know nor care, but I'm not going to embrace one.

I held my nose and voted " yes", although I wanted a third choice:

" yes, tastefully and occasionally"


I do promote my new stories, but I try to do so only in places where friends ( fans?...naw , no fans for my mediorcities) will know I have posted a new story. I justify this because I only post stories intermittently, and don't like cluttered sig lines.....
