Good morning!

I slept till 8:11 this morning! Wow! After waking between 4:30 and 5:30 the last few mornings, I needed it!

Had a strange dream I sold restaurant equipment/supplies but didn't know what I was selling. lol Yet an owner of a restaurant in Italy ordered $4,000 of something!

It's sunny and the desert is heating up. Going to hit 100's+ next week.

I walked yesterday afternoon and decided to take a short cut across a big wash to get home. The sun was really hot and I was done. Anyway, as I'm down in the wash, I see a large coyote to my left about 2-300 feet away. He saw me too. I decided to go up and out of the wash a little south of normal.

As I'm walking the flat higher ground, I see movement below me. It was 3-4 coyote pups romping and playing. Mom was laying on the ground and they would also romp over her. My shoes made a noise and all the pups stopped and looked up to me. It was so cool!

As I'm standing there totally enjoying and loving what I see and trying to take photos, I see the Dad coyote off to my right. I started walking again, south of Dad towards the street. He paced with me and kept watching me. He was on higher flat ground looking for food would be my guess. Where he was is a pretty common area for construction workers and walked to be.

I feel honored that I was able to witness a family of coyotes. So amazing!

I know intellectually that feeding them is bad. My heart wanted to go to Petsmart and buy big bags of dog food and take 5 gallon buckets of water for them. Don't worry. I won't.

This morning, my best friend, C was out walking and was 15 feet from a large coyote sleeping on the grass in her subdivision.

I am going to try to clean the patio off and hopefully the wind will cooperate and not destroy what I've done.

Then tonight we are going to a Meet n Greet.

Worked out on the patio today. OMG!!!!! We keep the blue pool rafts behind the settee you've seen in photos. yesterday afternoon, C and i were sitting out there and heard a noise. We thought it was MrS making dinner inside. But I swore it came from behind us.

Well, it was behind us. As I moved the rafts out to hose the patio and HUGE rat was behind them! A RAT! It was a good 6-7" long, big around and had a really long tail! I swore, I would never scream at things like that but guess what? I screamed! MrSB came running over and took the hose to flush him out. The rat ran along the side of house too fast to get a photo. I was standing on the chair at that point. SO GROSS!!!

So your cat is not a mouser? My cats were great and taking care of our mouse problems. Then again, a big rat may require a bigger cat.

Why is it so bad to feed the wild animals? We take away their habitat with impunity. Just be careful to feed them away from most humans.

Here in Southern California bears were roaming around foothill homes during the past drought when food was scarce. Food should have been provided high in the mountains.

How is your cat? A small terrier dog would likely make short work of your rat problem. Or foster a pregnant cat. She will be motivated to hunt.

Oh and I do thoroughly enjoy your photos and your words about your lifestyle. I had a little earlier in my life and it was so good.

I used to live in a house that was near a lake and we had issues with wharf rats- gross! We had to set traps...was never sure I wanted them to work..on the one hand it would be catching a rat and in the other, it would be catching a rat (which would mean someone would have to remove it).

I round have thoughts rats would not be in such an arid area...although by the pool, they had everything they need.

Good morning!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Got the battery delivered yesterday. Transplant surgery for the keyboard and battery will take place on my laptop. Please keep fingers crossed that the patient survives and gets healthy!!

Soccermom... I understand completely your dilemma! In Phoenix, we have roof rats that live on citrus which we have in abundance. They nest in the attics. I had them in another house and omg...how creepy. I could hear them scratching in the ceiling! Had to have an exterminator set traps.


Charles and Inspirinious...Missy? lol Fat chance. She used to bring me all sorts of presents: birds, geckos and rabbits. Now? She barely opens an eye if a hummingbird flies around her.

Here is what I wore to the meet n greet and the very last of the pink. You probably already know that by now since I'm naked. lol

Today a couple we've been friends with are coming over to do a series of podcasts about sex and intimacy after prostate cancer. They do podcasts about sex, intimacy and love for our age group. They developed a large following. Should be an interesting afternoon!

The main point is there is almost nothing out there about sex and intimacy after pc. Why? Guys don't talk. Ask a guy who's had prostate cancer surgery how he's doing and his answer? I'm great! Guys don't talk about incontinence, impotence and all the things that happen after surgery. After he was diagnosed, I search the internet for information. Because guys don't talk, there was almost nothing on the internet that was positive. I cried myself to sleep so many nights after MrSB was diagnosed and before we met a couple in the lifestyle that had already experienced it. They gave us hope, laughter and the realization that there is great sex and intimacy after pc surgery.

We want to spread the word.

I had prostate cancer more than fifteen years ago. Opted for X-ray treatment. No more erections. So just not surgery kills it.

Now I am confined to bed because of arthritis, knees, hips, shoulders and recently wrists and fingers. It is pleasant to have the nurse wash my penis and testicles.
