Shaven Vs. Unshaven Pussy -- Why does it matter?

I trimmed my ex-lover (female) on a regular basis; it was something we did for each other before my shaving days. I also did once shave the dom-type person I was with, but lord I was scared I was going to cut him. It took forever because I was being so careful.

Has anybody ever tried home waxing on the pubes? I never have, but it IS cheaper and maybe WildRose40DDD could give that a try. Just a thought.

I can only speak for myself, but I tried waxing a couple of times NEVER AGAIN!!

* First you have to let the hair grow out to about 1/4 of an inch each time. And I don't know about other womens pussy hair, but mine seem to have roots to the bone!! The first time I tried it was after a really hot bath, I had read somewhere that a hot bath would soften the hair and make it easier to remove WRONG! at least not for me.

The second time I tried a numbing cream designed for when children have to have shots. You put it on for 30 minutes prior to the injection. I sure hope it works better for that purpose cause it did nothing to help the pain for me.

For me personally it was terribly painful. I can't imagine paying someone money to inflect that amount of pain on me for vainity reasons.

I guess until I can "take it like a woman ", I'll just stick to shaving daily. Its not the smoothest or the prettiest ( I always seem to get a few bumps), but at least it doesn't feel like some one is ripping the top 5 layers of skin from an already sensitive spot.

Yes, unfortunately you're right. One does need to have pale skin and dark hair before laser hair removal can even be considered. Given the way the technology works, I don't know that they'll ever come up with a version that works on dark skin or light-colored hair.

They had people on from one of the salons that does this in NYC on Howard Stern, and the ladies said they have a new laser system with different filters that would work for African American women
This was very recent, too, so mebbe the technology is out there now

You're right! I just did a Google search for 'laser hair african-american' and came up with several results that mention the technology is out there now.

there are different kinds of laser hair removal technology now, and they do indeed have a laser system that is MORE effective, and less dangerous, on dark skin, as well as a system that is MORE effective, and less dangerous, on light hair on light skin. however it's not yet reached the point where there isn't significantly more scarring, pain, cost (because of the repeated sessions necessary), and an overall less chance of effectiveness when it comes to darker skin. i know an african american man with skin a bit lighter than mine, who had laser hair removal on his facial hair (beard and moustache) about a year ago. the hair is gone, after 10 procedures, but now it just has the appearance of a permanent 5 o'clock shadow. so we will just wait until the technology has advanced, hopefully it will before i'm too old and rickety.
