I have tried the "lover as groom" method and found him to be in too much of a hurry to do a thorough job, lol.
I prefer to wax my shins and calves and eyebrows and any stray facial hairs - the results are superior, yay!
Waxing my crotch............ugh. It winds up a mess. I guess I don't have enough hands to keep the skin taut when I <I>pull</I> the wax off. Hair and wax stay in straggling blotches.
My best results have come from shaving what I comfortably in the shower, then semi-laying on the bed after bathing, when the hair is soft and soaked and positioning a magnifying mirror on the bed and shaving away at what's left. Not totally comfy, but better for me than the shower-dance.
