Yes, I shave and it can sometimes be uncomfortable. I've just incorporated trimming and shaving my cock and balls with routine beard trimming and neck shaving.

The best, I mean absolutely the BEST razor is the new Gilette Mach III. This little sucker shaves so closely that I become fascinated with the results. I can't help but feel the newly shaved area. Even when I go to the bathroom, I'll cop a feel of my balls 'cause I can't believe how smooth they are.

Also...the creams made for leg shaving tend to work better than the stuff marketed to men.

I find the best way to shave or 'trim' is to have your man assist. Mine works with an electric hair trimmer. This way he can trim as short as possible, but it still remains soft. He sometimes surprises me with a new style!

hey, everybody! Just got through reading this thread and had to tell about my shaving lifesaver. I used to shave with a razor down there, but always seemed to have a breakout or uncomfortable stubble a couple of days afterward. But there is a depilatory marketed for black men (as they tend to be more susceptible to razor burn) called Magic Shave. Can get it in a cream or powder form. I use the powder in the silver can. I have never been so smooth in my life, and unlike Nair, it doesn't burn me. You can find it at any store (WalMart, etc.) beside the rest of the men's shaving products. I know I sound like an advertisement, but this stuff is so much easier and gentler than shaving. I usually don't have to repeat the process until after 7 to 10 days later, and the hair grows back soft. I swear, this stuff is miraculous!! Anyway, just thought I'd let you in on my secret! Hey Abbie, thanks!!! I think people don't believe half of what I say and the other half is bullshit. Somebody once even started a thread "Deborah's stories are BS!" As if!!!

I have referred to the "Magic Powder" in several threads and nobody acted like they had a clue what I was talking about. I even made mention of the stuff in one of my stories, "Gobble Gobble" and how Mary Magdelene kept it smooth for Jesus.

Anyway, I use the powder in the gold can. Like you said, there is a silver can and also a white can. I'm not sure exactly what the difference is, varying strenghs or something.

I'm looking at the can I have right now. I called it Magic Powder and you called it Magic Shave. The actual name for it appears to be just Magic and it's described as shaving powder (depilatory). I buy it at the local drug store and it's expensive, $1.99, but well worth the investment. And it's even recommended by the pussy doctors and it says so right on the can.

Whoever invented this shit should win the Nobel Piece Prize.

I gotta agree with mr happy, im a guy and every once in a while i shave all my pubic hair. it gets boring looking down at the same thing and its nice to change things up a bit. plus i like the feel of it when im having sex or masterbating. its also cool because cum doesnt get stuck in your pubes.

hey lmj,
this is my own personal routine...i don't know how others go about using the powder but this is what works for me. the directions are on the box, which is pretty much what i go by. but before i mix the powder (the specific amount is given on box) with the water, i usually apply a warm washcloth over the area i'm about to remove hair from. you don't have to do this, i just find the hair softens a bit after i do. apply the mixture to the area, and let it sit for 5 to 7 minutes. after this, i usually just hop in the shower and rinse everything off and go about my day. and yes, you can use this product around the anus. but as with any product, DO NOT use it internally. by this i mean on the very inner lips close to your vagina-- my best friend learned the hard way. but just follow the directions and you should be fine. the powder i use has extra skin conditioners and vitamin E added (silver can), but you can choose from several. there is also a cream Magic, probably a gel, too. pick whatever works best for you. i hope this helps you, and that you like the results. the first time i tried Magic powder i felt like a pornstar. Anyway, good luck and let me know how it goes!

my question is, how then do you get the inner lips of the vagina? i used to tweeze, but i am pregnant now (and pretty far along) and that seems to be an impossible feat .. i still want to stay nice and shaved on the lips but what do you do for the inner lips if you have a little hair there?

Abbie pretty well told the story about the stuff. I buy it at a CVS drug store where I get all my beauty aids. You know, stuff for guys. It's in the men's shaving products section, on the bottom shelf.

Like Abbie said there is a silver can. And a white can I think. Different strenghs or something, I'm not sure. OK, I'm looking at my can right now, the gold can. It says 'magic' in a big white circle and then 'SHAVING POWDER (depilatory)' and is made by Carson Products Co.

The stuff works for me and I have even on occasion used it on my legs and under my arms. But like anything else, you should test it first. Hint: Skitten, try it on your insignifact other before you try it on yourself.

Maybe you girls are having trouble finding the Magic because Butterfly like went and told everybody about it in the Literotica Reunion. Did you see that Super Bowl commercial? These two girls are at a convenience store trying to decide whether to spend their last few dollars on Magic or Bud Light. Now Anheuser-Busch has a new Bud Light slogan, "Soooooooo Smooth!!! I would recommend pubic shaving to any guy who wants a change. I have been shaving myself for the past couple of years and now I can't stand the look of growth after about a week. It grows back fast though, so it is hard work to keep up. Adequate maintenence for me is usually about once a week.

For a smooth pubic area, nothing beats waxing. Sure it can be uncomfortable the first few times. Let me be honest, the first few times felt like I was being burned.

It is much easier now. I do not have to wax my legs or bikini line for months at a time.

Of course, that didn't answer your question which was requesting tips for a good shave.

Here are the supplies you'll need:
New, dual blade razor.
Water based lotion.
Two wash cloths.
Running water.
Visene Eye Drops.

1. Step one. Bath prior to the shaving. It is not only sanitary, it ensures that excess oils are removed.

2. Wet and heat your washcloths. Optimumly, you should have them as hot as your pubic area can tolerate.

3. Rub the water based lotion sparingly into the pubic area to be shaven.

4. Place the washcloth firmly against the area to be shaved. The heat will open the pores, exposing more of the hair and root.

5. Immediately after removing the heated washcloths, use your new razor to shave with the growth pattern. Most pubic hair grows in a downward pattern. By "with the growth pattern", I mean to shave downward.

6. Between shaving strokes, run the razor under hot water. Swishing the razor in a cup or bowl may not remove all hairs from the razor. Running water ensures a clear shaving edge.

7. After you have completed shaving with the growth pattern, wipe the area free of loose hairs and lotion.

8. Reapply more water based lotion onto the entire shaving area.

9. Firmly place the other heated washcloth against the same area. This will again open the pores that have begun to cool.

10. Immediately after removing the heated washcloth, use your clean razor to lightly shave against the growth pattern. This final shaving step completes the smooth surface.

11. Using a warm washcloth, gently pat the area free of shaved hairs and lotion.

12. Apply the Visene Eye Drops liberally onto the shaved surface. Gently massage it into the skin. Visene is an anti-irritant and anti-inflamatory. It will keep the area free of razor burn, irritation bumps and will close the pores.
