I think that it's way better to use a hair removal cream...i've shaved and used a cream and the cream totally takes away everything so you are totally smooth (only until your hair starts to grow back) and you don't get little nicks or anything like that

OK here's a stupid question. My wife shaves and I like it but know she wants to shave me. I'm not that hairy but I do have hair up to and around my navel. I have a littel patch betweent my nipples but not much else. My queston is, when does she stop? Should I encourage her to shave everything? or should i tell her to stop at a certain point? Some guys are walking hairballs and they have a much larger delima than I have but this is one sticking point that has kept me from letting her shave my "pubes". Any suggestions?

as to men shaving it all off.. I personally don't mind a bit of hair, but if it is long enough to act as dental floss, then I would buy him a small pair of scissors.. a nice trim works wonders, and I am MUCH more likely to perform oral sex if it looks like he cares about that region..

Someone recommended a product called Magic. It's a powder that you mix into a paste, so a little messy, but it is the absolute greatest thing since sliced bread!!! It's inexpensive, available in the men's shaving section at Walmart and gives a very smooth finish. Try it. And to whoever first posted it a million thanks!!

Men - Please trim if anything. Shaving is a big hassle for men, that I know. But there is nothing sexier to me than a wee trimmed but still able to run m fingers through men's pubic area. I love beign able to get my mouth all the way down to the base without holding back any hair.

As far as my own shaving goes...in the bathtub with the water running is the best place. I love to take a bubble bath which also softens the hair. i just throw my legs up on the sides of the tub and go for it. I really wanna try that visine idea....Over the years i've had some really bad break outs from shaving. I shave like once every other week or how ever long it takes for the hair to get too long so it annoys me.

How did it all start? When I was 14 I began shaving my bikini line, and it just gradually got closer to the lips until i was doing the Pam Anderson little strip of hair thing. One day I was on the phone with one of my guy friends while I was shaving and he dared me to shave it all off. So I did and showed him when I saw him.

Now that I'm in college, most guys who make it to my bed(and there haven't been many..I'm picky)love the fact that I shave. It's become such a habit. I don't know if I could give it up. Wow! I am SO happy to have found this page! I have begun shaving recently-maybe for the past 6 months. I have to agree with some of the guys on here who said they don't like it smooth. I don't either-too much like being a little girl again, and then it makes me question the men who want it that way....anyway-I have found through trial and error that the BEST way to shave (although now that I've read the posts, I'll be hitting Walmart looking for the "Magic" since Nair eats me alive!)Is to use the Mach 3 razor (a NEW blade EVERY time-gets expensive, but it's well worth it!) and to use mineral oil, as opposed to any shaving creams. I tried baby oil once, but the fragrance in it irritated my skin. The mineral oil is cheap, it makes the razor glide right across your skin, and it softens the pubic hair nicely so that it comes off with ease. It also feels really erotic when you squirt it on and it hits your clit. MMmmmmmmm. I can never shave myself and not masterbate or climb right on my lover immediately after. Sometimes he likes to sit in the tub with me and watch me shave-it's GREAT foreplay! I never shave myself "clean". The only areas I do are from about 1/8" above my clit, all the way down to my anus. That way I still have the soft bush he loves, but it's clean and clear and INCREDIBLY sensitive way down below. There's nothing in the world better than shaving then putting on a nice pair of tight jeans and feeling your clit rub against the material all day! For those of you who were talking about waxing, might I suggest instead "sugaring"? I'll look for the link to the sugaring site I order off of and post it later. It's the same concept as waxing, except the product is sticky-much like honey-and applied cold so that you don't have to worry about burning yourself or having to wait for the wax to solidify before you RIP it off. With sugaring, you simply apply the product, put a reusable cloth strip on the product, and pull quickly in the direction of the hair growth. Don't get me wrong-it still stings, but not nearly as painful as waxing, and the hair that does grow back comes in much softer and is easier to remove as you continue the practice. I have tried all the methods (except Magic-which is on my list!) and I still prefer mineral oil and a Mach 3 razor. My first pass with the razor is "with the grain" and the second pass is "against the grain". If you do it properly, it feels as smooth as a baby's bottom, with no little nubbies. Sometimes it amazes me so much that I have to reach down there repeatedly just to feel how soft and smooth it is!

That would depend on what is causing the ugly red bumps.

If they're ingrown hairs, then all you can do is let things grow out.

If the bumps are an allergic reaction then you'll have to find a depilatory that you aren't allergic to.

Those are actually only two of many possible reasons for the bumps.

One of the reasons I quit shaving completely when I retired, was I never found a solution for ingrown hairs. My beard (and all of my hair) is so curly that it starts to curl before it gets above the surface.

You may be someone who can't go clean shaven without getting ingrown hair.
