Shaving

Desperately Needed

My Master requires me to be shaved everywhere except my head, and while I have no trouble keeping pits & legs smooth, from bikini to tailbone is considerably more difficult. I've tried Nair & Neet, and even simply tolerated the horrible burning sensation of lye betwixt thighs to leave it on that extra few minutes they suggest for tough hair- and still no decent results!

I recently tried Epil-stop N Spray, which was a complete waste of cash as far as I'm concerned.

Razors- well, nothing seems sharp enough, and there's always extra-difficult stubble within a few hours. (And since I live with Master and am useable 24-7, that's just impossible to keep up with!)

This Magic stuff- I plan to give it a try, especially with so many glowing endorsments, but worry that it'll be painful, and/or not strong enough to get the completely fuzzless baby smooth Master and I both prefer.

A few things I have found that help:
Soaking in a hot hot bath for a little bit before shaving.
Doing at least the preliminary shave while still under hot water.
Following up at the end by going over everything with a high-quality men's electric screen razor. (Unfortunately, these are expensive, and my Master doesn't use one...)

Folks who shave your nether-doors: Two last important hard questions...
How do you stretch the skin as needed with creams & gells all over fingers/lips/bits?
And how do you deal with the stuff in the bikini crease where a razor simply can't lie flat against the skin?

not sure if You are she is into pain, but i wax. i find it lasts longer, its much smoother, and no bumps or ingrowns. for the few stray hairs, i pluck them.

i so wish i had a Dom who would take care of me in such a way!

MMMMmmmmmmmm...

Indeed! Always wanted my Master to take a more active role in my cleaning/prepping ritual. Occasionally he'll stroll into the bathroom while I'm in the middle of some precarious/embarassing aspect, smile wickedly and tell me to carry on, but he's just not hands-on whe it comes to that stuff. ~sigh~

Waxing- EWWWW! Or rather OWWWW! I've tried this a couple of times, just to be sure I was actually doing it right, since with so many vanilla folks praising it/using it, it couldn't REALLY be this painful, could it? It is. Evilevilevil! Then again, Everybody's pain thresholds are different.

In my excperiences with shaving i have found that razors cause irritation, itching, and bumps, while NAIR and other cream removers (OMG! ouch... i can still feel the flesh melting) which are too harsh for such delicate skinned areas, ate at and caused a chemical burn to the flesh within only 2-3 minutes after being applied. Many were not strong enough to 'melt through' pubic hair as they are not intended nor formulated for use 'there' (the hair is of a much more course and dense texture of course).

i preferre keeping the area smooth by waxing. Some first time users of wax may realize that the first applications might not remove it all, reapplying and pulling the cloth strips in varias directions (depending on the origin of the directions of hair growth) will result in removing most. i touch upby removing any strays left behind with tweezing.

The end result for me: NO bumps, NO burn, NO itching. SMOOOOOOTH ... mmm.

***Regrowth appears on average in about 2-3 weeks depending on the individual.***

Quite simple.

Why, oh why must you ladies shave? There is nothing sexier to me than a woman in her natural, hairy glory.
Some of us, though we may use the phrase "carpet munch," don't enjoy hunting through a shag carpet for a pearl.

And in retrospect, if hetero, i imagine a woman would not prefer a mouth full of corn silk to get to the cob, nor the sweet meats.

Personally, i like the idea of waxing where i don't want hair on my partner and barbering the remainder. Such an act provides me with an opportunity to objectively look at that which provides me pleasure. Once i've completed my labor of love, i get to enjoy the fruits of my labor at my leisure. What could be better?

With all due respect AA,

a mouthful of cornsilk would be a lot nicer than what we actually do have to munch through!

If you knew my ethnic heritage, you'd understand. Ain't no brillo pad here darlin'.

My hair is fine and soft, yet apparently strong, as neither magic nor nair did Anything to it. Waxing, at least with those little strips, just didn't work, either. And I found that the bumps and itchiness and such is only on the skin above about the clitoris, which is less important anyway, for eating purposes.
So my solution is to shave from there on back, which I can do daily. The way you deal with the curves is use one of those venus swivel-headed razors. (Didn't you know those were the ladylike curves the ads talk about? )

The first time, my husband shaved me. Now that was some Scary fun. They're safety razors so we managed it without cutting me (and that first time was after a couple drinks. It was kind of an 'i'm sorry-I really mean it, etc. ritual. Glad he doesn't like tatoos.) He still shaves me sometimes. We spread a towel on the bed, spread my legs, and just do it there. It feels ni-i-i-ice. Especially around those sensitive inner lips.

Hee.. I've been shaving since I first sprouted hair there. I was a tomboy and I was horrified when it started growing. It kind of baffled my mum, cause my leg hair was really fine and light and I didn't really worry much about that, but I kept helping myself to her razors. She accused my brothers of taking them. When she finally figured out it was me and what I was shaving, she just gave me one of those looks and told me to be careful. Which I did.

I like the Venus razors, too. I usually soak in the tub for a little bit, to soften what is there. (I never have a lot of stubble) Then I take some watered down VO5 conditioner (I like the razzberry scented), massage it in and shave it off. Then I take some warm water and hydrogen peroxide on a clean wash cloth and dab it on, to keep the red bumps down. It gently kills bacteria, without major burning.

I only have to do it 2 or 3 times a month. For in between touch ups, I use a mens electric razor with three coilie things. But you gotta be careful, they can pinch tender skin and stuff between the coils and shred. The only time I've ever seriously cut myself was with the electric!

Another hint for the bumps. This may be TMI, but I don't wear panties most of the time. I wear them for church, for my games, and any other in between times when I feel they may be neccessary. Like when I'm wearing jeans, cause denim chafes. Panties, even cotton ones, trap moisture and hold them against your tender bits. When I do wear panties, I wear cotton or silk. Natural, breathable, materials. There's no nylon in my panty drawer. Ditto the panty hose. If I had a choice between panty hose and a root canal with no novacaine, I'm going to the dentist!

As for bumps, I do the same thing. especially with the jeans. Sometimes I won't have a fresh razor, and therefore won't shave cause it's not worth cutting myself open down there for that, and the zipper.....it's amazing what can get caught in it.

I've never really had trouble with bumps, and when I do get them, it's as easy as popping a pimple for me to get the ingrown hairs out. Being able to take lots of pain is good for that sort of thing.

yes...waxing. i get bumps when i shave, but if i wax, the skin gets slightly irritated the next day, but after that it stays very smooth for quite a while. i have never waxed the entire area, only bikini line. it hurts, but it's not as bad as you might think it is. the longer time with smooth skin outweighs the pain.

or the pain could be fun...

Waxing ... it's a sure fire method for smoothness.

Here is some interesting information on how hair grows and its life cycle.

http://www.about-hair-removal.com/infopages/body-hair.htm

About Body Hair

Hair grows continuously as new hair cells are formed at the base of the hair follicle.

Androgens, a male sex hormone present in both men and women, activates specific areas of the body to produce hair.

Hair follicles grow in repeated cycles.

One cycle can be broken down into three phases.

Anagen - Growth Phase
Catagen - Transitional Phase
Telogen - Resting Phase
Anagen Phase - Growth Phase

Approximately 85% of all hairs are in the growing phase at any one time.

The Anagen or growth phase can vary from several weeks (mustache) to several years (scalp).

The area of the body, gender and hormonal factors all have an effect on the length of the growth phase.

Catagen Phase - Transitional Phase

At the end of the Anagen phase the hairs enters into a Catagen phase which lasts about one or two weeks.

During the Catagen phase the hair follicle shrinks to about 1/6 of the normal length.

The lower part of the follicle is destroyed and the dermal papilla breaks away to rest below.

The dried up hair root is referred to as being "keratinized" or hardened and it acts as an anchor in the follicle for the shedding hair.

Often the keratinized hair will remain in the follicle until new growth forces it out and the hair is shed.

Telogen Phase - Resting Phase

At the end of the the Catagen phase hair enters the Telogen phase which normally lasts about five to six weeks.

The hair does not grow but stays attached to the follicle while the dermal papilla stays in a resting phase below.

Approximately 10-15 percent of all hairs are in this phase at any one time.

At the end of the Telogen phase the hair follicle re-enters the Anagen phase and new hair begins to form starting the growth cycle all over again.

Hair is continually shed and renewed by the operation of alternating cycles of growth, rest, fallout, and renewed growth.

Each hair passes through the three phases independently so the total amount of hair normally remains constant.

On average 50 to 100 hairs are shed each day from a total of around 150,000 follicles.

Conclusion: This information is essential to an understanding of why hair removal methods take time. It is not possible to disable all hair follicles at the same time for the reasons stated above.
