This is true. I generally call ankle boots motorcycle boots but there are the dressy ones.

So yes, motorcycle & dressy ankle boots = fine for zippers. Any other shoes... not so much

I wore my cognac full quill ostrich boots to a function tonight. They have a little character in the form of a slight patina from a mishap at the Buffalo airport way back when. While I was helping to clean up afterward I could feel the hungry stares of every woman in the room. It seems as though distinctive footware combined with a vacuum cleaner is a powerful aphrodisiac. I should keep a diary ;-).
