Perhaps @joy_of_cooking could book a review slot in the queue, with the actual story to be specified once you're ready?
That's fine with me.

Looking forward to it!!!O.K. I'm going to resurrect this, and I'm going to actually do it this time.
To start, I'm going to pick an old Literotica story from the past, which is popular and well-regarded, and which I like, and I'll write about what I think about it and why. I hope by doing so I'll give a taste for how I handle reviews. People can see my story-reviewing philosophy in practice. Showing, not just telling. They can then decide whether they think my review might be worthwhile.
Then I will accept proposals from those who want their stories reviewed. I will promise no more than one review per month. I will start by going back through the list of suggestions I've received and contact those authors and see if they still want the reviews done. I reserve the right to mix up the order rather than adopt a strict "first in first out" system to maximize the interest of the subject matter and also to use my reviews as a way of further explaining my philosophy of how to read stories.
Exactly. @SimonDoom has a hard enough time keeping me off his case elsewhere, so in a gentleman's agreement that he doesn't know about yet, this is his "safe place". SimonsReviewWorld +1 .I really hope this thread doesn't devolve into a thread of people reviewing Simon's reviews. The guy shouldn't have to justify his every opinion.
Here are a few more caveats. The simple one is to please also avoid "An Enigma." I've got problems trying to depict the kind of scuzzy villain I remember from movies like Robin Hood. No sense in re-visiting it at this point. Also avoid "The Recurrence." It's in the pipeline with a new version.Well, I'd be delighted if you'd critique any one of my stories except the vanilla ones (Idyll, Stairway to Heaven, and Undressing). Use the description to decide which one. None are longer than your limit.
How did I not see this thread???
