slyc_willie's stories

It's been a while since I got back to the Temporal Management Agency, but I have just submitted the second and third chapters in the series. Apologies to any of the fans who have been emailing me, asking when I was going to finish the saga of Dylan Moon.

Hopefully, the chapters will post soon . . . .

Finally

The second chapter of of my Temporal Management Agency series has posted. Entitled TMA: Agent Moon, Ch. 02, Dylan Moon's first official mission takes him back to 1933.

Please don't get too nitpicky with the historical details. The 30s aren't exactly my forte, but I believe I got most of the basic facts right. I even managed to work in an appearance by Louis Armstrong. ;)

if you are so inclined, give it a read and vote, and leave me a comment if you wish. Thanks.

TMA Chapter Three

It's been out for a couple of days, but I've been away from Lit. The third chapter -- and temporary end -- of my TMA series, TMA: Agent Moon, Ch. 03, ends Dylan's first mission into the past. It's a harrowing tale, with an unlikely twist at the end.

Please, take a look, and let me know what you think.

*bump*

I've had a few stories go up since I last bumped this thread.

You can find them in my sig, or go back through the posts to find links.

I'm always receptive to feedback and comments. ;)

Modern Fairy Tales

My contribution to Selena's Modern Fairy Tales chain story idea was posted. I decided to do an erotic take on Hansel & Gretel. It is a bit on the long side, at eight Lit pages, but I couldn't make it any shorter and still do the story justice.

Hansel & Gretel

In addition, some of my fans may have noticed, but I removed four stories from the site. Under The Table, Family Reunion, The Bet and Tales From the Slylight Zone are all gone. For reasons peculiar to myself, I felt that I no longer wanted those particular stories associated with me.

As always, thank you for reading, voting and commenting. ;)

Slyc's take on Hansel and Gretel is definitely worth the time to read.

Just read your take on Hansel & Gretel

Very nice read. My childhood gets perverted once again! But in a good way!

Thanks, both of you. I had a lot of fun writing that one. I tried to be a little more brief than I was, but what I wrote is what the story demanded. I have to say that it is swiftly becoming one of my most favorite stories to have written.

Her Eyes

I've never been much of a poet, but I've submitted one to Lit that, to my surprise, has received a good comment and, thus far, five flattering votes. Entitled Her Eyes, the poem was both demanded :p and inspired by a certain someone.

I've never wanted to write a poem for anyone before. Or at all, to be honest.

I wonder if I should consider doing more?

A Royal Sacrifice

The epic is almost over . . . .

Cedric kidnapped and tortured by the evil wizard Bagdemagus. Queen Evelyn faced with sacrificing herself for the sake of her kingdom. What will happen? Can Prince Drest and Sir John rally the Royal Guard against the wizard?

Find out in A Royal Sacrifice, Ch.22

;)

Last Wish

A new story posted this morning. Last Wish is about a condemned man being given thirty days of peace and freedom. You just might be surprised by this story. ;)

Comments, votes, and feedback are always welcome.

Published!

Boy, am I glad I joined in with Selena on eXcessica.com. :p Two offerings now available, Pretty Baby and Last Wish for a Dying Man. More to come soon, including I Believe (my 2006 Winter Holidays contest entry) and Shock Radio (one of last year's winning Halloween stories).

Yeah, I know, this is shameless promotion, but what the hell, it works for everyone else. ;)

Come see me on eXcessica!

Been a while since I last posted on my own thread. Hate to think I'd become forgetful. :p

I have a few new offerings up. Two stories I posted during the Halloween contest, Saving Grace and Streetwalker have been added.

Saving Grace is about a young single mother who experiences a strange sequence of events.

Streetwalker is about a young prostitute on Halloween.

I've also recently started a new series called Beyond the Veil. Part One has been up for a few weeks now, and has earned a pretty good response so far. Part two is coming soon, and there will be several more chapters to follow.

If you are so inclined, let me know what you think of my stories.

Beyond The Veil

I have to say I'm having a lot of fun with this series. Each chapter is a stand-alone story using the same characters. I like to see them as individual episodes of a TV show, or a monthly serial. Each chapter is fairly long; 7-10 Lit pages or so.

In CHAPTER ONE, we are introduced to Dr. Kyle Perrin, an unorthodox anthropologist and expert on many things unusual. Suffering the loss of his right arm ten years before in an accident, Kyle often works with the police on cases of an unusual nature. But he's never investigated zombies before . . . .

In CHAPTER TWO, Kyle and his team investigate a set of grisly murders in a small town.

There is more to come; I already have the third chapter half finished. At the risk of alienating some readers, I plan on spacing the release of each chapter so as not to create an expectation of quick posting.

Beyond the Veil

CHAPTER THREE has posted. A young man seeking to impress a girl uses an old family book to cast a spell of summons. Only, he gets more than he bargained for when an exotic, beautiful elfin woman -- a Daelvini -- appears.

But she's not alone. The carnage and mayhem that erupts embroils the team in their toughest case yet.

What happened to your stories "Under the Table" and "Family Reunion"? They aren't listed in your profile anymore and don't show up in a search.

I've had those stories removed because they were part of a series I no longer wanted to continue. I also did not feel they were indicative of my true writing style.

That's too bad, as I personally really liked both those stories.

I know this is probably too much to ask, but would you happen to have copies somewhere that you would be willing to let me have to add to my personal collection of stories? I wouldn't share them with anyone or try to pass them off as my own, if that's something you'd be concerned about.

Beyond The Veil Ch. 04

CHAPTER FOUR is out! In this episode, Dr. Perrin et al travel to France to investigate the sight of the aparent death of Kyle's mentor, Dr. Keller. The exotic Daelvini, Xyllah, has become a member of the team, although Faster is none too happy about that at first. Packed with more sex than previous chapters, the story nevertheless continues with some interesting revelations. But I won't ruin any surprises here. ;)

I have to say I was a little surprised to see it go up so fast. As of last night, it hadn't been viewed by the site editors, yet this morning, bam! There it was on the first page of the new story list and it's already garnered one comment.

Thanks to all my fans out there, and please feel free to let me know what you think, either on this thread, through feedback, or via email. ;)

Should I read it first or just do the usual Lit. contest response? ;)

Depends. Do you wanna blow smoke up my ass, or tell me what you really think?

ETA: That was unfair, both of our responses. But I know why you posted it. You've often criticized and questioned the veracity of both the voting system and the "scratch my back" impact toward contest voting here at Lit. To be honest, so have I.

Still, I like to think the majority of the comments and votes were valid and heartfelt regarding, at least, Shock Radio here.

Yes, that's what I think of the contest reading/voting.

Has nothing to do with whatever I will think of Shock Radio--when I read it. I don't blow smoke when I comment on a story.

Fair enough. I surely wouldn't expect that of you anyway. ;)

As I said, I'm looking forward to your critique. Whether anyone really likes it or not, I like the story. I'm proud of it.
