Soliloquium: Reflections on my World.

I like every single thing about this Video; the musical arrangement, the lyrics, the artistry involved , and most especially the concept. :rose:

I gave it away once or twice ...

It was not treasured as it should have been. :(

Anyone who doesn't treasure anything and everything you give them is a fool my love.

Moonlight
by Bilal Anaim

Moonlight's soft beauty
flows peacefully through my heart
Forgotten memories flow
deeper than my thoughts every night
Bold melodies dance
cleanse my mind of chaff and dust
My soul floating up stream
washing pain away with barbed thrust
Winter fills my pensive thought
yet spring will return
My reflection shines
on a heart in love about to burn
Seeks dreams visceral
the armored heart of fine life's quiver
breath in serenity reflect
exhale cleanse my soul rushing like a river

One year ago

I am smiling as he gathered me to him, in total agreement with his softly spoken words, all I wanted was to remain in the circle of his arms sharing this blessed moment.

We had been together as a couple for almost a year slowly building our unique relationship far from prying eyes or abrasive tongues.

Symbiotic...

I loved the very word, one indicative for how we would nurture, feed, love and even protect one another from all who would wish us harm...even ourselves when we were each in self destructive moods as we sometimes were.

Reciprocal love and devotion something I had never known before in the real world or here on Lit.

The graceful collar now encircling my slender neck was an integral part of all that I was. Only he and I knew what was engraved inside each one.

This time my collar graced my neck for all the right reasons, last time it had been put there simply to feed its owners failing ego with little regard for my own fragile one.

I felt blessed and very lucky to be loved unselfishly by the sincere man in whose arms I now lay.

All was as it should be, I loved and was loved, I belonged to a wonderful man just as he belonged to me…

I would cherish every single moment as if it would be my very last one, smiling I snuggled closer content, my eyelids drifting closed.

Now.

Our anniversary had come and gone in silence I had waited in vain for some small sign that our time together meant as much to him as it did to me.

My heart was filled with a pain that was almost overwhelming in its intensity.

I could not find solace here nor in the bedroom had I once so loved. I needed a break to regroup.

Our two years together has simply flown by somehow, the pleasure they had ofttimes brought me be could simply not be measured.

I was on vacation in the real world and decided that I would visit Serendipity; it had been over 2 years since my last visit, a small vacation there would be perfect. Perhaps I would be even moved to write again.

I needed to think…

A friend had told me to ask for what needed, I had asked but I would no longer beg.

Anaïs Nin said it so well.

“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source.
It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals.
It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering’s, of tarnishing’s.”

I had suffered enough loss these past years I wasn’t sure if I could get through another if it should come to that.

How would I survive the pain?

With a heavy heart I whispered “Que Sera Sera,” knowing I would be transported to the river boat that would carry me safely home once more.

Hey Jupiter - Tori Amos

My favorite lyrics: "Sometimes I breath you in and I know you know. And sometimes I take a swim. Found your writing on my wall. If my heart's soaking wet, boy, your boots can leave a mess."

Tori Amos - Winter

The best lyrics in this song to me are:

"Sleeping beauty trips me with a frown."

"When you gonna make up your mind? When you gonna love you as much as I do?"

Tori Amos - Crucify

"I gotta have my suffering so that I can have my cross. I know a cat named Easter, he says 'Will you ever learn, you're just an empty cage, girl, if you kill the bird."

And

"I've got enough guilt to start my own religion."

Are my favorite lyrics in this song.

Tori Amos - Precious Things

My favorite lyrics from this song:

"Yes, my loyalties turned, like my ankle, in the seventh grade, running after Billy, running after the rain. These precious things, let them bleed, let them wash away."

My favorite lyrics from all Tori's works are actually the ones from Hey Jupiter, but

"So you can make me cum, that doesn't make you Jesus."

Is a close second.

Coal - Stay

"Tear down the headlines. Empty the ashtrays.
Sweep out of the alley ways of what's left of our time.
Oh, you can use my body to do what you have to,
but stay a little longer. Stay with me."

I return to Sol, more than a little angry with myself. An incredibly important date has slipped through my fingers. I have left the one I love bereft of what she so deserves. I look around the space, this wonderful place. It will need a slightly different touch for the moment.

I begin working, soft colors, candles, pictures, flowers, there isn't enough of all of that in the world to make up for the monumental error on my part. I have no words to explain my sorrow at my own continued lapses. I sit on the couch, I will have to wait for her to return to make my apologies and hope that I can in some small way begin to earn her forgiveness for this.

I know those aren't your wings my love, but a lot of it reminds me of you.

Cover of Tom Smith's Rich Fantasy Lives.

This song always chokes me up.

That waitress at Petes
that took so long to seat you
and left you to stand in the doorway.

With her stringy red hair
and her thousand yard stare
in her mind, she's the princess of Norway.

As she takes down your order
she's crossing the fjord
her white stallion spits foam
like a mad man

Many vikings have dies
trying to take her as bride
but her heart is reserved
for a bad man

Rich Fantasy Lives
Somehow she survives
in a world she contrives
Inhibited husbands
and frustrated wives
lead rich fantasy lives.

So, don't be unkind
to a wandering mind.
Just say it again if we missed it.
Some whispering poem
was calling us home.
To a place we know never existed.

Slips in quietly to pick up my mail and a few personal photos I forgot to pack ...

Thank you so very much, this means a lot. I am beginning to think you are psychic how did you know where I was headed? :rose:

Awolnation - Sail (With Two crazy girls!)

Last video from me for the night.

Yeishia, how do you like my taste in music?

Frankly I love it, you are broadening my horizons which is always a good thing.

I smile softly at the belated sentiments... Rider writes beautifully as always, actions are always harder to achieve.

It is what it is...

I understand... I just wished I aspired him to more, heck anyone to more at this point I guessed.

I opened the gift and smiled softly at the roses. Carefully I placed the box in the fridge to keep them fresh.

I know those aren't your wings my love, but a lot of it reminds me of you.
