I used to work all over the South. I lived in Georgia a few years and worked in pretty much every Dixie state. I miss sweet tea and Georgia/Alabama BBQ.

I'm a rust belt boy (Toledo), with cousins in Mississippi. I love the South and would like to move back. I live in California right now. There are two places I found in Southern California that serve authentic Southern Cooking, Johnny Rebs in Victorville and Spring Street BBQ in LA. I f any one knows where I can get sweet tea and BBQ in the San Diego area let me know.

Good luck buddy...I bet my ribs are better, lol. We just have a knack for cooking in the south.

I make a bacon wrapped deer back strap that is the bomb:

cubed marinated meat with a slice of Jalapeno on each side, a dab of cream chees, then wrapped in bacon, and grilled, it is unreal....

Good luck finding some good food in Cal. I remember the food there being bland.
