Just like Cloudy, I take pride in what I do. I might not be the writer that she is, but I know that I'm damn good at editing. I'm proud of this ability and I REFUSE to sit back and relax just a little while the quality of writing goes down and down.

If it were me, every single story would have to pass through a Lit-approved editor before even being allowed to submit a story for Lit approval. The posting time would increase exponentially, I know, but at least, we'd see quality stories more often than we do now.

So, MoS, relax as much as you want, top from the bottom as much as you want, but please, don't ask serious writers and editors to do as you do....not every person has standards as low as you and some others seem to show.

And we would see a lot of dumb stories, like Lit is getting to be. Time was when a story depended on the content of the story. In the case of erotic stories it had to have the ability to get a man (since I am a man, I'll use man as an example), hard. That is no longer the case. authors ( I have to snicker here, snicker snicker) wirte tripe that have no erotic value except to a lot of screwed up minds. Oh and by the way, I am sure that you would like to grade all the writers like they were kindergarten kids and make them face the black board for a simple mistake. Oh well takes all kind. That includes my kind too and that means a lot to me..

I have been reading Stephen King's latest (??) paperback called "Cell Phone". Haven't finished it yet as I only read when I'm traveling. But I was annoyed by the repeated use of "said", which many here say is the mark of poor writing. As an editor it really stuck out.

Not sure what this mean. The guy sells books. Just noticed.

Yes he does sell a lot of books...no make that novels. I'm sure that there are those,( not mentioning names,) who would make him stand in front of a black board. One thing for sure is that he would never, never, never write for Lit. Anyway there are sites for stories that are not anal like Lit.
