Spending...

[mini-hijack]Just out of curiosity, why is the symbol for USA dollars (and other dollars) an S ($) and not a D of some description?[/mini-hijack]

It started as an overlay of U & S.. the old way to make a dollar sign had two vertical lines... it got simplified to the current at some point.

Catalina I am sure will weigh in with more links than those following.

How to make a rope flogger

How to make a flogger

How to make your own flogger

Serijules makes some beautiful ribbon floggers, perhaps she might add some commentary as well.

I note some of the links in the threads above have expired, there is still information that is valid contained however.

Best of luck :rose:

Where can I find how-to instructions? I'd like to try and make a flogger.

Our lovely librarian posted these links earlier. If you follow them and poke around in the threads, you will find links to various sites with instructions. Some of the links in the threads are dead, but there are enough working links there to be of use.

If you do the rope flogger per the instructions linkd, my advice is to add in a pommel ring uses steel or brass stock, generally available at the same sorts of places you buy rope. And, honestly, whipping a rope flogger takes quite a bit of time. I prefer to just neatly wrap mine in athletic tape. I've made a load of them for friends, and gave them out as Christmas presents this past holiday.

While I don't have my own how-to (though I really should make one), feel free to PM me with any specific questions or tips needed.
