yank, a few questions:

11. do you have the time to recount your most recent foodie adventure? :>
12. when you do: please do so. :D
13. do you anticipate making another trip out east in the near-term?
14. b/c i tend not to frequent the BDSM forum: is it a lack of interest, time or both that we don't see you in HT these days?
15. i don't know how much you care, but given what you said of the weather: boxer briefs are both comfy and very warm. :>

11. The most recent would be Friday's visit to the No Name Restaurant in Boston. I had their famous fish chowder which usually features pieces of fish so large that they stick up out of the broth. Then I had a big honkin' plate of fried clams that were so smooth and buttery you might have mistaken them for deep-fried silk.

12. Just did.

13. I will be in New England again for the Christmas holiday.

14. It's mostly a lack of time that has kept me focused on the BDSM and AH fora here.

15. I have no trouble staying warm, ed, thanks. ;)

Question for MWY:

What is your favorite smell and why? Does it evoke a memory of something every time you smell it?

ah, a question: if you could send a message back to yourself 10 years ago, would you:

1. exercise that ability, and
2. if so, what would you say?

and if you could change the time period to something else, to what might you change it?

This is a good question. One of my most treasured smells is the aroma of freshly baked bread. My mother used to bake bread two or three times each week, and the house would often be filled with this aroma when I returned home from school in the afternoon. I use a bread machine and, while the aroma is very pleasant, it's not quite the same.

I probably would try to get something back to that younger Yank. No doubt it would have something to do with taking the risk to explore my dominance sooner than I did. All things being equal, it would have been even better to get that message twenty years ago.

Smiling imagining a younger Yank.

We've heard about your preferred boxer briefs earlier but what about women's lingerie. I was just in a wonderful lingerie store yesterday and I'm wondering if you have a preference for a particular kind. Oh and I know you're famous for 'it depends on the particular woman'... which is admirable in most cases, but not permitted as an answer to this.

I like the most natural shaping possible, if that's what you mean. I know little about brands and honestly couldn't care about that so long as the result makes the woman look her best. As for material, I'm partial to soft and smooth, so silk or satin seem to come to mind.

Does that answer the question?

I assumed she meant something like: Thong vs. bikini cut. Do you have a preference?

And since you've discovered outlets for your dominance, I'll add.... would you ever give the stereotypical no-panties command, or do you prefer the look of lingerie and anticipation of undressing?

Wasn't what I had in mind...I was hoping for something a bit more specific as to style, but it gives me an idea. Thanks.

Yes you're right, or nightgown vs. PJs or teddys or whatever.

yank, a few more questions:

3. if you could have a superpower, what would you choose?
4. if you had to identify one and only one skill you could possess immediately with great proficiency that you presently lack, what might it be?
5. have you done any creative writing?

I'm not a big fan of thongs, though some women can wear them with aplomb. If there's to be underwear, I like to be able to see some fabric. Besides, there's some fun to be had when yanking the panties fabric aside to get immediate rear access.

Anticipation is one of nature's cheapest and most powerful aphrodisiacs. Anything, such as a very slow undressing, that builds anticipation is a good thing in my book. I've only rarely given the no-panties command. I'd much rather hand my partner an anal plug just before dinner and instruct her to go to the ladies room to put it in before sitting down to a leisurely dinner.

Sorry, but it really does depend on the woman, ww. Since you're asking about what appeals to me visually, then my answer is that it depends on the whole package. For example, I suspect that our young retro friend 00Syd would look stunning in a vintage peignoir outfit from the 50s as it would complement her hairstyle and general look and demeanor. Another woman, perhaps one with a wilder haircut and a randy manner, might look best in a chic semi-nude bra with a hint of come-get-me in it. Yet another, say someone with a sophisticated and elegant demeanor and appearance, might look her most stunning in a very European, low-cut bra and high-cut bikini bottom.

I would love to be able to fly in the manner of Superman.

The one skill that has eluded me my entire life is the ability to predict the future with complete accuracy.

I have done some creative writing. In fact, I received a notice from the IRS recently that suggested I had written a tad too creatively for their taste. But who said they had taste, right?

I bet you didn't predict that I'd ask you these questions! Take that (or these)!

1. Favorite book
2. Favorite author
3. Favorite song/piece
4. Favorite band/composer
5. Favorite artist
6. What is your favorite genre/era of art, and why?
7. If you have 3:10 to spare, what do you think of this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ_fnYhI1HU
8. Have you ever been to a steak house in Annapolis called Luneces (http://www.lewnessteakhouse.com/home.html), it's awesome.

yank: if you had developed that skill, wouldn't life be a lot more boring? :D

I can't think of anything to ask, but thank you for answering the questions Yanks; it's been a fun read. :)

  1. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Robert Pirsig.
  2. Too many close-to-favorite authors to select merely one, but I'll throw out P. G. Wodehouse as the one from the top tier that comes to mind right now.
  3. Fifth Symphony, Beethoven
  4. Beethoven
  5. Rodin (assuming you meant someone in the visual arts)
  6. Post-Impressionism because it begins to speak to the modern soul as I understand it
  7. I gave my last 3:10 to the Salvation Army this afternoon.
  8. No. I generally do not seek out steak houses when I eat out.

What would be the one thing you would change about the society in which you live and why?

And if I think of any more, I'll come back :D

I wish that it were somehow more important to us as a society to listen to one another with care and focus.
