Subs what is your Safeword

he suggested 'please stop daddy' I laughed naturally.

I suggested "red light!" It stuck.

How do you use this if you are gagged?

somehow there is a disconnect....

There are a couple of ways to indicate "safe word" when gagged; one is to use the words "Mayday Mayday Mayday". It has been found to be understandable. It is something to try.

Another way is to have something you are holding, and if you drop it; that is the safe word.

There are many ways and I am sure many others will surface now too. :)

Good suggestion! Thanks for that - its been bothering me for a while now that there would be no protection in the event of a gag.
But. I think a swift kick in the gut could get the message across too. We haven't gotten entirely tied up yet. (It would however break the mood)

I think a lot of people use the object in the hand...keys, a scarf, an apple, etc. I'm not gagged much (he prefers a hood), but we've discussed how I would let him know if I can't form the words. He knows how I physically react to things, so for example, if I was to put my hand up in a halt kind of position it would be easy to see that it was deliberate. Or I could always 'tap out' on whatever body part I could reach and he would know that I needed attention. Whatever you use, make it something easy to recognize and agree on it in advance and you won't have to worry about the mood breaker when you nail him in the gut. :catroar:

Glad those ideas can help. That is the value of threads like this. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. People here are always willing to help.

And some day I am sure you will be completely tied up, gagged and blindfolded. It isn't something to miss either. :)

My master and I didn't have safewords, it wasn't that sort of relationship. But purely as a joke he once gave me one, and given my extraordinary memory (extraordinarly like a sieve), I quickly forgot it. For years afterward, in play and in other situations, he'd tease me about this: "if you only remembered your safeword, I'd stop what I am doing to you right now!" GRR! That used to drive me crazy (except I suspected--correctly--that even if I did remember and use it he wouldn't abide by it, lol). I finally did remember it, many many years later. It was "Rumplestilskin." ;)

"Time"

It doesn't mean 'stop'. It means 'give me a minute'. And if I say 'Time' again once we've resumed, then it means 'stop'.

;)
