I’ve had lots of involvement in both Liberal and Progressive Conservative politics.

I blame Peter MacKay for getting suckered, but the fact remains that the Conservative Party of Canada is closer to “ the western alienation/ slash and burn the social safety net party” than anything representing Canadian values.

Too bad. Canada could use an alternative to the spend like drunken sailor Liberals.

I'm already on record that Mackay, or even Brown ( I'm tossed up) would have been the better choice(s) for the Cons. Would that have kept the Con's closer to Progressive is a good question. I now see signs of the rift opening again to with Preston's comments.

There’s a new Abacus Data poll out today which says PP leads Carney 32-28% when canadians are asked who they trust to put up a shelf.

However, it’s the only question the Cons are leading on.

While stumping for the liberals she went all in attacking Trump and the tariffs. Fine, if the liberals want to distract the citizens of Canada by yapping about foreign leaders they do NOT control and will NEVER control sobeit. She then went on to point out that Trumps tariffs are a tax on the US public, OK exactly which country is she stumping for votes in? She further went on to declare how Canada was going to match or even exceed those tariffs. Apparently she believes that the Canadian imposed tariffs will have no impact on the cost of goods to individual Canadians and appear as a tax. And all of this was uttered in one fucking paragraph.

She's stumping for votes in Canada while using the platform to reach dumbfuck Americans. Canadians can walk and chew gum at the same time. Unlike some of our American cousins.

She further went on to declare how Canada was going to match or even exceed those tariffs. Apparently she believes that the Canadian imposed tariffs will have no impact on the cost of goods to individual Canadians and appear as a tax.

We all know the tariffs will result in higher prices for American products. Which is why we're buying Canadain first non American second, no American third....

You're right, but Trump is engaging in his own theater of sorts. I have no doubt that he is fully aware of the impact the tariff tiffs are having on the Canadian elections.

Ontario's the economic engine of Canada. Then Quebec, Albert barely comes in third. Alberta is not the piggy bank. Ontario is.

Alberta is still pissed off ( and scared it may happen again) about the revival of the National Energy Program.
