My wife and I were the same. For the first 3-4 years of activity in the lifestyle we went to a club over an hour drive form our home. The reason we traveled so far was to minimize the risk of running into anyone we knew. That changed when one night we were driving home from my office holiday party, and she was a little drink and super horny. She was giving me head in the car and begging me to find somewhere we could fuck -- immediately. At that moment we were not far from a very different swing club, so I headed there. We went in, signed up, and starting going to that club for the next 2-3 years. Over that period we never ran into anyone we knew, but in that size club it is entirely possible someone was there we knew but we never saw them.
The clubs were quite different. The first was small, and most nights there were about 40-50 couples in attendance. The second club is one of the largest in the country. On a typical Saturday night there were upwards of 2000 people in attendance, mostly in the bar/dance area. Fun times at both, but very different experiences.

I have a question for the experienced.

My husband & I have been to a sex/swinger club 5 times over the last few months. We met a couple there that use to belong to a swinger group who would all meet up at a members home to play. Before I got to ask anything the conversation got interrupted.

Has anyone here experienced both of these??
I know how the club works & love it since you can choose between only couples, couples & singles, different themes.........
I don’t know exactly how it goes with other couples at someone's private residence.

We go to our local club as well as private parties, from small group of 4-6 couples which sometimes are couples only, include single ladies, other times select single males invited as well. Other parties are invite only which # up to 120 people, the dynamic is different with each.

We would recommend trying all sizes when the opportunity arises, you can then experience and decide for yourselves if you enjoyed it, want to partake again or not.

Even with smaller groups, keep in mind people will be at different phases during the party. Respective to the boundaries of other couples there, the opportunity to play with just another woman or guy is a possibility.

No matter the size or environment, you can play with others or not, always your choice. Each experience will be different, never set expectations, just enjoy what unfolds.

I think for now we're going to enjoy the club. Yes at the club single women & couples are always welcome with single men not allowed Saturday nights or certain themed events.

My wife and I were in the lifestyle over 15+ years. We started out going to clubs, but eventually met up with a group of couples similar to us in age and background and eventually quit the club scene altogether. We became great friends with the 5-6 other couples (one couple infrequently participated). We got together at each other's homes, sometimes with one couple, sometimes 2 or 3, and on rare occasions all 6 couples. Generally, we would arrive early in the evening, talk, have some drinks and snacks, then adjourn to the bedroom for play. Afterward we would eat dinner, then go home. One couple had a hot tub, so evenings often started in the hot tub. Two couples had pools, so at their homes we started in the pool. Basically, we socialized like any other group of friends, but our evenings progressed to the bedroom before they ended.
