Youv've heard of Vodoo economics...This is called who-do economics (ie. "I've been who doed")

Principles of operation:

a) never replace people who retire or quit till 6 months down the road..therefore not having to pay salary or beneifits. ( at any given time this represents about 10% of our work force)

b) never anticipate that people are (OMG!) actually wanting to go on vacation and therefore might not be around.

c) never account for the two or three new systems that come on line each year and require training time for all the employees

d) make the statement in the morning that the company has to cut back on overtime....that no one can start to work before 8:00 or work through lunch...then at 4pm send a text message to everyone that no one can go home till all the jobs are finished, usually about 7:30pm. ( Text message, because the manager is now at a baseball game with his son....Other employees greet their sons like this "hi...Bobby is it? you're 7 today? happy birthday...mighty nice to meet you)

e) have a boring bullshit meeting about one morning a week so managers can pat each other on the back and tell each other what a wonderful job they are doing..try to pick the busiest day..so the rest of the employees start out at least an hour late.

f) don't factor in that this is a relatively dangerous occupation, and that at any one time at least one person is going to be in the hospital or layed up recovering.

g) try to schedule "special projects" on Mondays and Fridays....days that are always extra busy anyway...so that (including the above reasons) the company is working with about half the people they need...and then take a half an hour Tuesday to bitch because not all the work got done.

h) just for fun...throw in a thunder storm or two to bug-zap a bunch of equipment...and then act suprised that there is all kinds of extra work required the next day.

ie. it is just like working anyplace else

The way my stomach is grumbling around, I don't think I'll have the problem much longer.

FYI - respirators are good only for particulates - to solve this problem you will need a self contained air supply - an OBA. Perhaps a misting of a favorite perfume on the respirator filter will help, or the combination of fragrances could be just as intolerable as the original problem.

Yesterday was a bit crazy...at one point I got Sparky at knocking at my door..he came by to pick up the rest of the money...at the same time the real estate lady is ringing my phone and I'm running around the house with a T-shirt and panties on.

By the time I got to work I didn't know if I was coming or going....I pulled into the parking lot flipped down the visor to check my hair in the mirror before I got out of the car and it took me a second to figure out why I looked funny...LMAO I don't wear a lot of makeup but I always wear mascara....well NOT yesterday...I got sidetracked running round and forgot to put it on....Crazy crazy days indeed...
Well off to the shower gentleman so I can go tackle another day..
