Great.... thank you for the lyrics.....er.....but it is the wrong song

There is some dude that does it out of his living room...but one can hardly understand the words...and it isn't near as good as the original recording, of course

I've been saying that for years.

Now I know what it sounds like.

She's okay, but I doubt she'll position herself between me and the 'out route' of the bed again.

I can't sleep on my left side - car wrecked shoulder won't tolerate it - so if I want to sleep in a position other than flat on my back it is on my right side. With the current room configuration that places me facing the wall. At sometime during the wee morning hours dumb-assed cat decided that sleeping on the edge of the bed behind me would be cool.

I woke from an extra long sleep run for me, about 3 hours and needed to pee bad. I sort turned and kicked sideways so that I would come out of the bed feet first. Only trouble was that I rolled right over the cat. She was asleep and getting crushed sort of surprised her. Hell of sound.

Of course that scared the shit out of me, left me a bit addled - I wake up quick, but I do need just a second or two to get my bearings. The cat squalling and wiggling underneath me took a bit to get sorted out... I damn near pissed myself while I was at it.

I headed for the bathroom immediately cussing the cat the whole way. She followed along mewling and bitching at the rude way I woke her up.

I have never prescibed to this hyphonated citizenship business... the something Americans. But I just googled Irish Americans in Tulsa to see if I can stumble onto an actual live body person playing the bohdran.

That thing is frustratin' the hell out of me. I need a lesson or two I think.

Turns out one of the places I used to eat lunch regular when I worked for MPSI (Mapping Demographics Software) is one of the centers of activity for the Irish Community in Tulsa. Good enough! Think I'll give Penny a call and see if she wants to do lunch and then go look for drummer...

Actually, I was working on a car - and concentrating on the issue, trying to visualize the car moving, how inertia affects it. My eyes were closed. I wasn't quite ohm-ming... but close. Zen Enginerering - "see the car, feel the car, be the car..."

Then the email notification went off and I damn near jumped out of my chair...

Concerning the song, I don't know for sure, but aren't you the only one that's heard it? Steve Earle 'live' is not the best way to learn a tune - check this out...

Watch Emmy Lou, the way she is watching him. That is a girl that is staying on her toes, like dancing with somebody that you've not danced with before, and initial indications are that they don't dance very well.

At any rate - I'm going to wait to hear the song before I tell you that it is too slow and has too many minor chords in it...
