Tell us something about yourself

I made an awesome pot roast in the slow cooker today. I added cayanne pepper much to hubby's dismay but it really seasoned the stew up.

I made a beautiful butter chicken for dinner tonight but added too much cayenne pepper. My nose ran the whole time while eating it and all I could taste was hot which was pretty dissapointing :(

Next time add some yogurt or heavy whipping cream. When I eat Indian food that is too hot for me I mix in yogurt. It will cut the heat without diminishing flavor.
Riata is a good yogurt dish to have on the side. Chat masala and plain yogurt with cucumbers, carrots, and onions( if desired) shredded.

Even though I'm Indian, my husband who is Irish makes better Indian food then me. *sigh*.

It had a cup of cream in it! Maybe I'm just a wuss and need to toughen up my tastebuds a bit.

Amongst my six siblings I am the only one with 10 digits(fingers) in the hand others have 11 each.

  • I can happily play certain slot machines until my ass has completely re-formed the seat of the stool I sit on, as long as I'm hitting a reasonable rate of ROI (including Players' Club points plus actual cash return).
  • I can do the same at the blackjack table as long as I'm pretty much holding even or making a profit. On my favorite slots, I fairly frequently *do* play as long as three or four hours before my eyes get too tired watching the little pictures fly down the screen. Then I go to the blackjack table - much more restful for my eyes.
  • I take my glasses off for both occupations, and smoke entirely too much during both. I'm happy that my favorite (local) casino is located on the reservation and is thus exempt from the state no-indoors-smoking law.
  • If they decide to make it no smoking, I'll probably have to start buying refills for my electronic cigarette, which is allowed by law to be used indoors anywhere that doesn't have a specific *posted* policy against them.

i hate hate HATE avocado...do not understand the obsession with it, do not understand why so many feel the need to completely ruin good sushi rolls with it. it has the faint smell of old people enduring a long hospital stay and the texture and look of baby diarrhea...just say no! people.

Amen! You are so right. Blech. My Japanese friend told me that it is a US thing as they don't do it in Japan. Every time we go out for sushi she promises again take me to Japan so that I can experience ordering whatever I want without havin to say no avocado. That will be a fine day.

I'm just a little hooked on coffee. I can't drink water in the a.m. if I haven't had my coffee yet...

we shall see... won't we ;) all i know is "someone" might need to be near their fone all this week xD
