The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Good Sunday Morning. It’s cool and in the 50s this morning. And not very humid. My goals today are simply to prepare for the post op of cataract surgery where I am not to lift heavy objects or bend at the waist for 7 -- 14 days. So, I am moving things to height above my waist around the house.
Feel better hun.💋

Mornin wat! Feel the same way. I like the birds. I tend to leave them alone.

Plus they occasionally take care of the other pests that are eating up my gardens and flowers: baby rabbits (they are really cute) and SQUIRRELS - my arch enemy. (They’re always getting my sunflowers)

As for caliber, I find that .22 LR hollow points work well. I’ve never shot a coyote but they may need something larger.
Maybe a .22 hollow point mini-mag?

Hope all are having a nice Sunday! You know what today is? British Gran Prix! Three Englishmen on the top of the grid. Max starts fourth. Will be bouncing between Wimbledon and the football matches till the heat dies down then back out to seat some flagstone. Everyone stay cool!

I had no idea B2. When is the surgery?

That will be a little tough. But with some help… you’ll be fine. It’s a routine surgery nowadays… everyone’s doing it!!!

Glad the weather is nice where you are. We’re still in the hot a humid….
It’s this Thursday. It is routine with very high levels of good results. They do not want any pressure on the eye. So no heavy lifting or bending which seems reasonable.

I already have numerous folks volunteering to help. So I am going to let them. At 72, I am not going to be stubbornly independent 🤣. I especially enjoy the ladies who are volunteering 😉

We have hawks and a family of buzzards that clean up the mess.......I heard yip yip yip the other night. There was a den accross the field but hadn't heard them in a while. They don't get close because of the dogs and we watch at night.

I have heard them for years (they go crazy when the fire whistle goes off! It’s hillarious) but have never ever seen a one…

Quite possible!! They are much larger than typical varmints.

I have a couple of .223/5.56 rifles for coyotes. One is a scoped bolt gun that is gnat's ass at 200 yards. The other is one of the AR rifles that I want to get some kinda night vision scope for. Out West, we hear them at night. I have yet to lay eyes on one of the plundering assholes. But if I do . . . .

We have about 10 on the ridge behind us and they howl in the night. A black bear visits us occassionally. She's about 300 pounds and is out day and night...
