We have about 10 on the ridge behind us and they howl in the night. A black bear visits us occassionally. She's about 300 pounds and is out day and night...

The assholes howl in the night. They will come out in the daytime, but I don't see them. The landlady saw one, and by the time I went to get the rifle, s/he was long gone.


There is a thing called a Portuguese Head Shot. That's where they're running from you and you shoot them up the ass. There was a retreating Union soldier at First Bull Run who was shot and they couldn't figure it out until somebody noticed that he had a .58 caliber asshole.


Sounds kinda painful . . . .

I saw what must have been a dead black bear on the I-81 road shoulder several years ago. Swear to Allah, it looked like a guy in a bear suit.


And so does that bear.


I'm not getting close enough to find out.

She got into my garbage one night on my back patio. I opened the door she was about 15 ft away I started yelling she looked at me and went right back to eating the garbage. Needless to say I locked that door and kept it closed. Another one of the stupid things I did.

We might be getting a new/old cat Out West. The landlady is tookening care of a geriatric woman in a nursing home - she's doing home care these days. Anyway, shithead staff is bitching about her big old cat, and they're putting him out today. She, of course, bonded with the cat on day #1, so I told her to bring him on home. He'll get to have a family even if there will be some settling in period. Five other cats and three dogs - yeah, he'll figure it out.
