My mom can still mentally drive but she has had some problems this year majority related to her worsening macula degeneration. She willingly put down her keys

My mom has macular degeneration too. I take her to the eye doctor once every three or four months and they give her these injections… it won’t make it better, but it does keep it from getting worse.

She had to hang up her keys about 12-13 years ago when she got into a pretty bad accident.

Is your mom doing anything about the macular degeneration? A good ophthalmologist should be able to treat it.

Good morning all!

Good to be back after a few days on the sidelines. Damn pesky job interferes with my literotica time.

Tuesday and Wednesday, full of workshops and meetings with people in town. A lot of good progress, but you know how these fucking technology projects go. (They ARE complicated… and you do haveta get em right.)

Met a lot of solid people in person for the first time from our Canadian and England offices.

work dinners both nights… so long days.

And selfishly I recorded the euro games so I could watch them when I got home. Which is just what I needed. After Tuesday and Wednesday nights, I was brain dead. So glad England won!! 91st minute goal to beat Netherlands!

Since I am working from home today I’ll prob be around a little more.

Home from walk #1 - we think. It's kind of a figure 8 that I do and the house is in the middle. That way, I can score some water. Feeling a little perkier today. Was draggin' it yesterday.

My dad is getting the shots and takes the Areds2 vitamins and he is getting better. They scan the back of his eyes and you can see the scar tissue flattening. He can now read with an electronic magnifier.
I can’t watch then nicer his eyes.

A year ago my ophthalmologist suggested I get both cataracts done because i have 'floaters' in my vision. It's like connect the dots...
and:
1. I am a coward
2. I'm my Mrs caregiver
3. There no one around that can get groceries for us
4. I have this thing about knives near my eyes

I need to get it done soon because my vision is very blurry & I wear reader's at 300x magnifying

I don't heal well because I'm diabetic
Don't yell at me, I'm scared of this

Gotta get breakfast
Mrs is hungry...

I understand your concerns. But the upside to looking into it more is better than the downside - not being able to see it some point.

Not to put any more pressure on you, But I hope you can figure out a way to get this done. I wish I was close, because I would offer to help you guys with groceries and stuff…

She’s 95 and has the most amazing vision. She reads the newspaper every single day and underlined stuff that’s important.

When I took her to the dentist the other day she saw this random sign on the way there…

“No left turns? Dictatorial!” she’s an amazing lady.
