No, I didn't know. I do know that I'm trying to pick up the exercise pace a bit and drop some pounds and develop some wind. We'll see. I also know that I had a bout with cellulitis in my lower left leg last year and kinda wonder if this might be round 2, and if so, what in Hell is causing it. I need to get some stuff sorted at the doctor's tomorrow anyway, so this can be on the list.

Slept kinda half-assed. Got a pain in my left foot. Got a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Got another one Tuesday. There's a work call tomorrow afternoon and another one on Monday, and there's a video interview which I can do today. I reckon I will. Looks like rain shows up overnight and plans to hang around for awhile. That'll be nice - we need some wet. Oh, I may have forgotten, the city actually fixed the leaking water meter two doors up (down in numbers, up in elevation) so we don't have a wee swamp out front. They're threatening to do the water/sewer/gas connections tomorrow at the next door foundation, but Weather might make their workday damp. We'll see.


Seems we live in interesting times if we allow ourselves to . . . .

I am so glad to see rain... we need it too. My grass needs mowed it is gonna need a bush hog soon. But I am not gonna say anything....they will get to it.

Top of the ankle, in the front. Like if I lift my toes, that sets it off. I can walk okay, and it feels better after it warms up. The foot is swollen - no color. I do try to read in bed with it elevated - both of them. Right one is a bit puffy but painless.

I thought i remembered your saying that the other day, and that influenced my choice of names. I don't remember a Suzie in school. I do remember a Suzie I dated some, but I never felt like it had a chance.

My mom has macular degeneration too. I take her to the eye doctor once every three or four months and they give her these injections… it won’t make it better, but it does keep it from getting worse.

She had to hang up her keys about 12-13 years ago when she got into a pretty bad accident.

Is your mom doing anything about the macular degeneration? A good ophthalmologist should be able to treat it.

It was cellulitis last year. I wonder.


I have two doctor appointments, both with NPs, and I like both of them a lot. They'll point me in the right direction. I'm going to inquire about a geriatric practitioner, too.

Mac D is quite the disease. Treatments for it to help slow the progression. A co-worker's mom had it. I learned a lot about vision loss resources in my area from them. Never know when you or someone you know may need that info.

Home from Round #2. There is a bit of a breeze today. The pedom-eter is giving me some wonky numbers compared to the other day. Asshole thing. Of course, it's the phone. Still, asshole thing.

I just like shit that works is reliable and I know I can depend on it…

You don’t like watches, wat, but the Fitbit wearable watches are pretty good and pretty damn accurate…

Hi all. Update on Lilianna. She's doing steadily better and has her brother and sister with her now. Didn't tell me about her small ceremony, but sometimes cremations can be a hassle. I told her everyone said hi. Hope she pops in sometime just to see all the love and support.

Hopefully turning the corner. Last night pain kept me up almost all night. Not the sharp pain from Mon/Tues, but the nagging, dull, annoying pain that kept me from sleeping. Hope that means brighter days ahead - provided I don't do something dumb.

Loved watching the Operation show on A&E (decades ago)... but always had to look away for the initial incision. Then I was able to watch the rest. Good thing I didn't go into medicine.

I crawled in bed to read a bit and put my feet up. Wound up with the entire clowder. Ethyl decided she wanted to be under the blanket. TDK attacked her head, so that didn't work. Panther came to see us and he got hit in the head. He takes it pretty well. The TDK decided to get under the blanket as I was ready to attempt to doze off for a bit. Then Ethyl attacked her through the blanket and also got my elbow, which was out. She looked at me like, "oops." I cussed her and got up to tend to the wound. I reckon we'll try that again later.
