The Biker Chicks of Lit

Know what you mean---Mom is in Ohio and theirs is about 15 cents higher. Doesn't make sense all the variations in different areas of the country. And thanks---not as fancy as some I have seen here, but serves the purpose.

It doesn't need to be fancy, LBG....just a good ride. We are hanging at about $3.89 for regular....premium is about $4.11.

Yeah, I follow in the paper and I see where you have the highest---Just doesn't make sense. Word has it, we will probably be pushing the $4.00 mark by next weekend. Its a Yamaha VStar 650.

Need some help and I hate to sound stupid----but, can anyone tell me how to attach patches to a leather vest--it is new and I hate to screw it up:eek:

We need to keep this thread up to date. Is anybody riding these days? Lets see some of your ride pictures. As always ride safe.

We certainly did :)

Good to see you :cattail:

We are planning a short ride tomorrow ( approx. 300 mi )
to one of my favorite restaurants (great seafood).

ooh, I love seafood. I hope you have nice weather for your ride. *big hug*

The ride was nice. Steve's sister and parents decided to go on the ride with us!
One of "The Group", Lee, got a flat tire so we sat on the side
of the road for a few hours til her husband, Buddy,
went home and came back with a truck to get the bike.
We found some relief from the sun at some shop next to where the bikes sat.

S&S 50th Anniversary Build Off

Did anyone else attend the S&S 50th Anniversary Celebration this past june? A great friend and supporter of MOJO, was selected to build a bike for the build off. Jeff from "Church of Choppers" & Chopper Dave were there and repersented..
Miss Mojo:)

Some of you may have seen this.
Too bad there really are people like this:
*THE BIKER*
I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line.
But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.
I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk.
But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall.
I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.
I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I rode by.
But, you didn't see me, riding behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.
I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you, stare at my long hair.
But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.
I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather jackets and gloves.
But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old ones to those that had none.
I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos.
But, you didn't see me, cry as my children were born and have their name written over and in my heart.
I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family.
I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.
I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car.
But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.
I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But, you didn't see me , squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.
I saw you, race down the road in the rain.
But, you didn 't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.
I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.
I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But, you didn't see me, leave the road.
I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there.
I saw you, go home to your family.
But, you didn't see me.
Because, I died that day you cut me off.
I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family.
But, you didn't see me.
Re-post this around in hopes that people will understand the biker community.
If you don't re-post this, It sucks to be you. I hope you never loose someone that rides.

I can't believe this thread is still active. Life has really bitten us in the rear end this year, but I will not bore you with details other then we didn't get to ride much this summer since the stater on the bike took a dump on us while we were in line to get into the parking lot at the Pentagon for Rolling Thunder this year. The bike spent most of the summer in the shop waiting for parts to be shipped from Japan(long story, but it took a while).
The good news is we were able to get a few great charity rides in this summer. Also, MrsJ is going to be a grandmother for the second time, and we had a great time in San Diego, CA for her second oldest childs wedding. We had a blast in SoCa and even worked up the guts to get naked on Black's Beach. Sorry no pics.

MrsJ and I hope all the old regulars and the newbies that I haven't met yet are all doing good and life is treating you ok. I'll be back soon, and a lot more often. Joe

Well will wonders never cease!!! Welcome back stranger!

Well some updates here(not much to say) I'm still taking art classes. I'm just kinda hooked on this stuff. I'm also moonlighting at a haunted house in my home town. The people are great and we have fun.

CB's computer went all to Hell so she hasn't been able to get on for awhile. We're not sure how long i will take to get it back, but it does give her more time to get her new house sorted out. (oh she moved btw lol)

Glad to have you back and you had BETTER get some new pics for us all.

Nice to see you Joe. Glad to know you're well. Give the Mrs a  from me

Hey Diji, It's nice to know we were missed. Glad to hear your still taking classes and having some fun outside of school.
Cooper and I keep in contact from time to time via email, so I knew about about her big move, but I didn't know her computer was down until the other day when I checked out her thread.
Like I said, the bike crapped out on us this summer, so we didn't take a lot of pics, but I'll do a search and see what I can cum up with. We did get some great pics of a sunset at 39,000 feet flying home from San Diego. I'll try to get them resized and up soon.
