Can you imagine what the pics would have been like if the battery hadn't died? I wanted to turn that into a new AV, but MrsJ won't let me. :p :p

Awwww....sorry the battery died but looks like you did get some very nice shots :)

MrsJ is beautiful...Make sure you bring the camera next weekend and extra batteries and plenty of memory! LOL

Poe's Pub is alot of fun...I have had a few really good times there! :D

Oh and I will keep you posted! We will be staying only 30 minutes from Front Royal...But we do not know what time ya'll want to meet up and have no idea where? Any ideas on a meeting place (you sounded like you know the area a lil)?
MrsJ and I were thinking about 10 am. That gives us time to get up and around and make the hour ride. The easiest place to meet is right at the Front Royal gate to Skyline Drive. We can meet at the first pulloff just inside the gate, if I remember right, its about 1 mile in, or at the gate, there is parking and pullover areas there as well. Maybe at the gate is easiest.

We can make it ealier if you want, you guys are the ones on the limited time frame, so let us know.

Thanks again Joe

I have been talking with Steve about a bike...It seems he has his heart set on a Road King...LOL he is even giving me a list of things he would like on it...LOL...

Some of his wants: 3/4 handlebars, a wide soft seat (for comfort), a large windshield that can be lowered and raised (depending on where riding to), Rinehart pipes, leather covered saddlebags (hard bags just covered instead of painted), same for the (touring pack?) on the back, highway pegs...Hmmm I think that is it for now...lol I am sure there will be more...lol

Oh and we were talking to Spaz when he came to visit and he told us about some guy who took his saddlebags (the throw over the seat kind), split the leather and screwed the ends to the passenger seatrest...When the bike is parked or when he doesn't need them for short rides, ect., he can take them off. I thought that sounded like a great idea![/QUOTE
I'll keep looking around here. PM me with a price range.

a Roadking.. I am jealous :) His want list isn't too big. With a roadking the windshield comes off and on. It isn't a fairing, like a street glide, electra, etc...
Glad you had a good weekend hon
Thats good to know.

Goes to show how dumb I am...I didn't know there were auto tran bikes

Hmmm perhaps if I ever decide to get one, that is what I should look for...LOL
They are becoming really popular with women and people that are getting up there in age a little with arthritis etc.. If your stopped heading uphill, you don't have to worry about getting the whole brake, clutch, gas issue just right. You can hold the bike with your front brake and balence with both feet on the ground. And they are really low to the ground, so even someone with a really short inseam like you can get both feet down. ;)

Ok, I'm picking my jaw up and rolling my tongue back up..........Sorry, had to wipe the drool off my face. THAT, is a really sweet Indian, any idea of the year. I'm finally learning to appreciate those vintage bike just like I do the vintage cars.

It was a 1946. It wasn't pristine, but it ran well and he rode the bejeezus out of it. Owning a bike like that is a goal of mine. My grandad rode one just like it.

That looks like a great turnout. How many hardened criminals actually showed up to rape and pillage? And raise a ton of money for a great cause? ;)
No actual numbers. Rumor had it just under 500 bikes and some were riding double sooooo I wont even guess. At $15.00 a rider, most people just threw a $20 at them, and people like our Elusive One threw a $20 all the way from AV and didn't even go on the ride sooo.. alot was raised. When I hear totals I'll let you know :D
