Oh good. I was sitting here considering putting coffee in the bottles, but I don't know how to make it. Do you suppose his speech patterns are indications of a stroke? Or maybe he just has a lisp?
 
Oh I do believe it may be phycosamatic S F. If Uggg believes he is getting blitzed then he will have the symptoms. ;)
 
Had a call from Robyn, she should be back here in an hour (which will be midnight 30 here). I’m off to bed so I’ll miss her.

Weapons training today. I had a call from the Cemetery Superintendent to say a huge workforce has arrived to begin tidying the graves in the NNE plot where my Mum lies buried. There are 150 graves there all of which need attention. Families are paying good money for a service they are not getting. Not anymore- I’M ON THE CASE!
 
Robyn you are a very determined young lady. You saw a problem and you confronted it head on. Well done you make me very proud of you.

Weapons training always an exercise that requires one’s full attention.

Good for you kid. It's nice to know someone will fight for the respests our dead deserve.

On a mostly up note. Not news given late for comsec reasons. EOD said it looked like the APC was pedaled like an orange. That EOD team had been in country longer than most and were surprised anyone made it out at all. 3 team members treated and released. Probably headed home to heal. One held for infections. One headed our for surgeries to remove shrapnel near internal. One not so good. The last one according to helmet cams pulled two of he's buddies out on shear adrenaline, before succumbing to his spinal damage received in the blast. His prognosis is bleak but survivable. The sooner his swelling goes down the better his chances and the better the docs can see what's what. So for you praying types out there, please do. For you nonpraying types some warm wishes wouldn't hurt.

So as long as military doctors don't screw up one marine sniper and most of his team will have a full recovery. And much like Robyn's story we had to go to higher powers to get any information. Including a Chaplin and others.

The skies are leaden, a persistent drizzle, that dampens not only the day but the spirits as well. Time to do something positive, another log on the fire to chase the chill and the blues of the day away.

Some where on the other side of the world some marines, or Coasties, maybe a Submarine crew just gave us another day of freedom. It's our duty to make the best of it ok friend.
