The China Pearl Inn part 7

Brrr It was cold last night. Even with the heater going and a heavy blanket I was chilly. Yesterday's very light snow is gone and the sky is a bright blue, but the temperature is in the forties. Supposed to snow again later in the week and again next week. Guess I better break out another blanket to add to the one I have been using. Had way more snow last year, but I don't remember being this cold.

Ohhhh... Fahrenheit! Pffft! silly system, you Umuricans aught to get metric, ditch all that inches and yards rubbish. Ditch the fahrenheits! I'm starting a Celsius revolution!

Wooot!

lol and you also like them as innocent and un-jaded as a lamb eh old wolf? My mistress has her eating pants on, your drooling all over the floor and I'm sitting here wondering if either of you will be able to resist eating that little lamb all up!

Fly little red robin fly!

;)

I'm cheering for the underdog!

We shall see Uggg after all the little lamb look so delicious one just wants to eat her up.:p ;)

I agree. But revolutions have been shut down many times. I don't understand why we have the decimal system for money but every other measurement is some odd, hard to learn system. In school we teach both. The last major revolution gave us labels that come in both systems on food and drink items. Because we import cars, most mechanics use metric tools. Metric measurements for length are much more reliable. But it is stupid to be the only country that uses both.

Well it truly is simple. Back in the sixties we officially converted to the Metric system and then ignored it and changed nothing. See simple

We are similar. We measure speed in MPH but weigh in metric. Carpet is sold by the metre but curtains by inches.

I have to confess I've had a little fun with miles.

My last motor bike was made for the American market and had a speedo in miles per hour. Made for a bit of entertainment whenever I got pulled over for speeding.

Yes officer I know the speed limit is 100- I was doing 100mph!

;)

Uggg:rose:

Yeah, I can see why you think so. ;) It is good that you learned your lesson for two years. What happened after the two years was up?

Well that makes the roads safer for everyone else. ;)

Actually the roads here are a freakin nightmare. Max speed limit is 50km and yet it seems we have a fatality every other week. Mostly its drunk kids on scooters but sometimes it drunk tourists on scooters and then every now and then its someone sober on a scooter hitting someone drunk in a car.

Its particularly dangerous on Friday and Saturday nights.

You guys need a curfew. People could drink but not be on the roads. :) This explains all that drinking you do. Sheer boredom. :D

Of all the threads I post in, this is the one where I have to go back and delete my posts the most. And its almost always in conversations with you SF. lol. I should learn the lesson and just chat with you via pm more, save myself a whole lot of editing time and effort.

I can live with that. :) If it is easier to write in pm, then have at it. You know where the links are. :D

Ya- lol. The thing is I don't know before hand that I'm gonna end up saying so much. You have a knack for drawing me into conversation. I just need to learn to switch to pm at the point I'm about to start talking about real stuff.

I don't flirt and I don't drink, so that only leaves me talking. You just fall into my trap of non-typical Lit chat. ;)
