I started back at work- so it's time to get used to working again. I work late so it's a long walk home at the end of the day and a very tired shiva xD

O all is well with both of them CG even though BigL is tweeting my sciatic nerve.
Meanwhile Rick asked me to confirm for those reading this in Canada that the vegetable soup had to be thrown overboard. Replaced by fresh mushroom it worked wonders.

Oh that is no fun G G. As you may remember a few months ago I had cartilage pressing on my sciatic nerve that required surgery on L4 and L5.


Fresh Mushrooms always work wonders especially when they are combined with a bit of butter and cream.

Lord have mercy but I am tired of political ads. They are particularly vicious this year. Lots of lying by both parties and we now have a republican advertising in favor of a democrat. :sigh:

Meanwhile on to better news: got the trash taken out, picked up the mail, and did a load of laundry. Tomorrow I get to give blood to the lab rats.

S F I do hate having my blood drawn. In my time I have been shot once or twice never can keep count and injured numerous times and that hardly phased me, but having my blood drawn.....Yuck!

I know that feeling CG. My phobia is the dentist chair. I’ve been shot at a few times and back in January I actually braced myself for death when I laid over my patient to stop her from being shot. But that didn’t scare me like the smell of a dentist does! And when I see that bloody needle GOD HELP ME!

When I was in college, I donated blood as often as I could. I would much rather have them take blood out then give me a shot. Things going in hurt much worse than blood coming out. Having said that, a good phlebotomist makes all the difference in the world. There is a guy there that can poke me and it doesn't hurt at all. Then there are a couple of females that I swear take pleasure in making it hurt as much as possible.

But I have never, ever had the slightest desire to go through pregnancy and birth. A little blood coming out is one thing, a giant kid is a whole different ball game. I have never quite decided if females that have kids are amazing or just plain crazy!! LOL

I haven't any interest in being shot either.

Ah but that id the fun of it L F leading your partner around and through the couples on the dance floor, a side step and a flourish here and there and with a firm hand.

It was much easier in Vienna where there was a counter clockwise flow on the dance floor so everyone was going roughly in the same direction. Oh so very formal you know.

Oh, I heartily agree with you CG. I guess I was trying to say that the performance dancing you see on shows and social dancing are two different animals.

I haven't learned the Viennese waltz yet, but love the fluid, spinning beauty of it.

I remember hearing about your bravery Ma’m, we were all in awe of you risking your life to save that young mother. You earned that medal.

I remember G G and HSG e-mailed me there gown photos and they appeared to be drinking some sparkling drink as well Robyn.

Watching the horror stories coming in from Florida and wish I could be part of the rescue team. Then I see the destruction in Indonesia and wish Rose and HSG well as they join the international rescue team. Obviously I cannot join them this time.

Are you feeling left out G G marooned in a sea of paper work and endless reports? I chaffed when I was on staff sending out friends and other into the field on mission as I monitored things through comms.

There seems to be so many major catastrophes the last two or three years that I don't know how rescue/relief organizations are dealing with it. It is just insane.

I can understand that. Still, they have to be feeling overwhelmed.

Gave up some blood today, see the doctor next week. I hope it isn't raining on Tuesday. I hate going out in the rain. We have rain predicted for the next five days.
