Yes Ma'am, I understand the chain of command and respect it. I had it when I was a fire fighter and while we were not ducking IEDs, we did have to worry about everything from drunk drivers to flashover. A scene can change in a matter of seconds from under control to bail out. You never leave your squad mates boot, and you never drop your tools.

It is very similar. Here in NRR we are an international team who as Robyn says become family. We would willingly do anything for each other.

I completely understand. I am glad you all have that in such a high stress environment, but nothing forges bonds quite like situations where you have to trust each other with your lives.
 
It’s an eventful day for us. We’ve just put a contract on a house. After shopping for what seemed forever we finally found something we both like and is in our price range. After some bickering, offers and counter offers, back and forth last night and into this morning the seller accepted our offer. We should be able to close in 4-6 weeks. Our plans have been to give it about a year to see how our finances are, and if we’re good we’ll go ahead and finally get married, and then try to get me pregnant during the honeymoon.

We’re going to a wedding this evening at 6:00. An excuse for me to get girlied up in a pretty dress, and pretty lacy underpinnings. Michael’s in a bit of a tiff that I insist he wear a suit and tie, but I will need a well dressed escort. I promised I’ll make it worth his while afterward. I’m quite confident I’m going to get to feel much like I’m the bride when we get home, and fantasizing we’re on our honeymoon.

Today I had an E Mail from my sailor's Mum congratulating me and wishing me well. Sadly nothing from my father and that hurts. But I had a call from our rabbi who's coming.
