The China Pearl Inn---Part Six.

But of course HSG, you know I would never say no to any of you charming young ladies :devil:ish :D

Shall we say it is a standing invitation.

Shiva I like your new Avatar.

Thanks, but I changed it again. The pic is in my profile!

Seems to be the time for goodbyes. My doctor has has had to return to Boston for a week. Once he's back on base our relationship reverts to professional until our next leave.

I miss SF, surely something has to be done soon.

WAKE UP LITEROTICA!

So I see Shiva.

Ah balancing life and service Rose always a challenge Miss ;)

I can't believe how fast 3 weeks have gone. Today is my last full day in England and i won't see my wife until the fall (autumn for the Brits). Her family are amazing which means I have 2 moms & 2 dads. Next month my inlaws are going to Texas to stay with my folks.

My wife told me who her new CO is, I've served with the guy and I know he will bring the best out his team. CG if I tell you he runs it like a ship you will know what I mean.

Thank you all for supporting my wife and the others. I won't be able to post much but I will be 'hiding in the shadows' as CG says.

So til next time

Semper fi

Time does fly when they're enjoyable times. Be safe. We do thank you for your service.

he comes in smiling. "Afternoon all." He takes a seat. "My writing is going well, and CG, the Lady DE has asked me to renew our story linked in my signature. I am rereading the thread now, it is one of my favorite characters I ever created, and that thread had so much potential. It will be great that Vladimir will have a home once again. Sometimes old characters are like old friends, and this feels like reconnecting with an old friend. Besides the fact of reconnecting with the dark lady, of course. My other stories are taking off as well. I find that writing has done a lot of good for my overall health."

I can add that in Lt HSG & Lt GG as well as Sgt ER I am lucky to have such supportive senior officers. It is like being on board the Star Ship Enterprise where there is a chain of command but also a 'family feel' about it. We have our roles to play and missions to complete but we have a togetherness non military folk will never understand. Right CG?

I've met both Rick and Tom, fine men bring credit to the United States and are such an inspiration to youngsters like me. Both have said I can call them anytime for advice.

I heard from my sailor boy, he has given me his leave dates and hopes we can meet up soon. I told my father about him (didn't say I'd slept with him) and he wanted to know if he's Jewish. When I told him he isn't he told me to forget him. Yeah right! I'm a woman now Dad, not your little girl. My step mother was brilliant about it. I'm beginning to thaw towards her.

It seems best you not tell him how much you have grown since joining the army. Sometimes parents just don’t get that they need to let their children be themselves. It's good to hear your stepmother has a better grasp of that. Maybe she can reason with him.

Wish you the best.

That is great Glad ! I am pleased that things are looking up for you.
Yes indeed, now to hopefully get a job soon! If I'm unemployed much longer I will have to stop writing on lit and try to become an author lol. and how goes your writing?

It goes well Glad but today I have been busy getting things together for a lecture this weekend.

Good luck with the job Gladiator. I'd employ you if I could. Good luck on the lectures CG.

Thanks Robyn After all these years I still get nervous preparing for the lectures

18th century, terrorism, and small unit tactics in colonial North America. A very boring subject for most folks Glad.;)

I think you'd have four very attentive students here CG. We're a small unit and often we operate behind enemy lines. Weapons and communications change but tactics rarely do. And to defeat terrorists you have to think like them.

See, we Jews have an answer for everything.

The Anglican church called a meeting to decide what to do about their squirrels. After much prayer and consideration, they concluded the squirrels were predestined to be there and they shouldn't interfere with God's divine will.

At the Baptist church the squirrels had taken an interest in the baptistery. The deacons met and decided to put a water slide on the baptistery and let the squirrels drown themselves. The squirrels liked the slide and, unfortunately, knew instinctively how to swim so twice as many squirrels showed up the following week.

The Methodist church decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God's creatures. So, they humanely trapped their squirrels and set them free near the Baptist Church . Two weeks later the squirrels were back when the Baptists took down the water slide.

But the Catholic Church came up with a very creative strategy. They baptised all the squirrels and consecrated them as members of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas and Easter.

Not much was heard from the Jewish synagogue; they took the first squirrel and circumcised him. They haven't seen a squirrel since.

I would love to have the four of you there and put you through the practical part of the weekend Rose. I must say ado as it will soon be time to hit the road.

Getting ready to drive the boys to the airport (HSG is with me and we're taking Mr T too). Both of us sad but we knew this would happen. But next step is back to base for us next week. Playing cricket tomorrow & Sunday if the weather holds.
