Aye, it does that. Been watching a TV series about secret agents in WWII who worked in occupied Europe. They had a life span in months at best on average when they went active, but still people volunteered. Bravery.

As loud as possible. Sky will start lightening in a half hour and sun will be up an hour or so. I HATE crickets.

Yes, noise annoys me when I'm trying to get to sleep. I say noise but it can be anything; unintelligible voices from outside for eg, even if they're speaking fairly quietly. Even though I don't hear that well in general things seem to get magnified at night, perversely.
