The Chinal Pearl Inn part 8

Yes I do have ac. When I moved in two years ago they were having record heat so ac went in quickly. Temperature is definitely different depending on where one is from. Coming from southern California anything under 60 was considered freezing and anything over 85 was boiling. My sister has been in Montana for a few years and she wears shorts when it is forty. :)

This house is pretty good though. I have porches on the north and south sides and that keeps the house cooler than outside. Still, once it gets to be about 85 outside, the inside gets hot also. Then the ac comes on. :D

A hardy lass your sister. People tend to wear shorts more than they used to, over here, esp men. I Think they think they all live in CA :) Sounds like a nice house. No wonder the crickets want to live there.

Hiya all:rose:,

how are we all today?

Finally have time to sit down and just chill:D.

Was supper quiet in here yesterday- by the time I finally got around to being ready to socialize the place was empty:eek:.

Good to see you popping in CG!

Uggg:rose:

It is small but just right for one person. Apparently crickets and spiders love the place. LOL I have to have some of the brush cut back for fire prevention, hopefully the critters will move back from the house once that happens. I hope. :rolleyes:

Yeah, it was dead so I went to bed early. I imagine the weekend looks lovely after your super busy week. :)

A unique petting zoo opportunity then. "Come stroke a spider." I'm sure the crowds would flock in :)

I've really reduced the lizard population in my house over the last few weeks:D

They now only out number humans about 500 to 1:D

Oh yup! I've got heaps of nothing at all planned!! Just exactly what I need:D

A quiet, relaxed weekend sounds like just the ticket for you. What have you done to reduce your population? Did you bring in a badger? :D

Nah, My cat would eat a badger and then make me pay for the service in skin.

You can make a gecko trap with a soft drink bottle and If you bait it with banana you can catch hundreds of the little creeps. I catch them and release them over the other side of the road:D.

Someone sent me a video of how to make one of those when I had a lizard in my house. Do you tag them so you know if they come back for more banana or are actually staying on the other side of the road?

Not BB Badger, licenced to eat crickets. (iconic music plays). A dangerous fellow, with an eye for the ladies.

There are some strange noises from Uggg's hole (as it were); maybe he does have a tiger down there.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. I suspect he has all sorts of things down there. He has been digging tunnels all over the place. I imagine he is responsible for the volcanic action in Hawaii and the sink hole in Washington DC.

I can't imagine any cat eating a badger, unless, maybe it was a tiger. Them there badgers are very tough on other animals.

I once watched my cat jump over the fence from my place to the neighbors where it attacked their dog savagely then strutted back around to our place like nothing had happened. The dog was yelping like it had been hit by lightning as it ran away.

I had been standing at the fence talking to the neighbors. We all saw it happen. They were left with their mouths hanging open in shock.

He has killed and brought back for me:

Ferrits;
Stoats;
Possums;
Rats;
Magpies;

He would enjoy playing with a badger.;)

What kind of cat is that? You certainly have a lot of rodents on that tiny island.

Most of that was before we moved here. He mostly just hunts Lizards here. I've had him since 2001 so hes getting on a bit now but he still hunts.

He's just a short haired domestic cat but he is huge for cat and its not fat.

I once saw him jump straight up in the air and pluck a black bird out of the sky as it flew between trees at about 2m above the ground.

He's always been pretty impressive as cats go.

I had a cat like that, rescue cat. He had to stay in but I had an out house attached to the main one (you could laughingly call it a conservatory) with an ill fitting door. When another cat got in the yard he would lie down in the outhouse and wave one paw out under the door. I imagined him saying, "come on, I'll fight you with one paw tied behind my back."
