The Chinal Pearl Inn part 8

Oh yup there's lots of bad stuff around but the old favorites still exist.:D

I can't make any promises but it's possible. Haha. Just exhausted as you probably know.

*Wraps arms around the exhausted elf from behind and uses chin to massage his shoulders.*

Whispers in his ear:

"If you have time you should message your friend Angelica. She is missing you I think." ;)

Uggg:kiss::rose:

Oh man. I have been sitting here for so many hours that my stomach and my rear are protesting. I am going to get something to eat, back in a while. If you have gone to bed before I get back, Glad, sleep well. ::Hugs to both of you::

He is around here somewhere, but he tends to watch tv about this time. He is working his way through a series. But he pops in now and then.

Well, a lovely morning to you...

Currently watching the news, sipping TV and trying to concentrate on a story that I'm writing with a fellow litster via email.

I need to post in our story (with UGGG) but wasn't in a writing mood yesterday for one reason or another.

Need more tea, can I pour you a mug?

I think I will pass on the tea since your comes with tv in it. ;) I don't really drink coffee or tea. But thanks for the offer. :)

LOL at my typo...

I'm very bad at reading what I intended to write, and not necessarily what I wrote.

Sometimes typos are passed up, but sometimes they are funny enough to comment on.

I think that my hands ache, not so much from the typing I do, but the deleting. LOL

I used to be a much better typist. Not a fast one, but accurate. Now I am neither fast nor accurate. LOL But I can find the delete key without looking at the keyboard. :D

Well considering a keyboard is now such an important element of my work keyboard skills should be taught at school now!!

When I was a lad, boys would do metal work etc and the lasses would do shorthand and typing skills.

I do miss a good shorthand secretary. Their minutes were the most accurate I've ever read

Teaching keyboarding is coming back in the US because testing is done on the computer and if the kids are hunting and pecking it can take days for them to finish one test. I tried teaching myself shorthand, it was fun because it was like writing in code. I have forgotten what little bit I learned but it came in handy to know some basic words when I was taking notes in college. I tried the typing class in eighth grade, but I just couldn't get it. I have never had a strong memory. After I got out of college, I worked for awhile in one state, then moved to another state. I was having a terrible time finding a job teaching, so I figured I better learn to type since I might end up in an office. I learned to touch type but was never very fast. My fingers and brain just don't work well together. I couldn't get any kind of job, so I ended up going back to the old state and the old teaching job. Probably a good thing, since I would never have survived as someone's secretary. LOL I always wanted a secretary or at least a personal assistant. Someone who could remind me what I was supposed to be doing and do my paperwork. LOL

Yes, that makes total sense, sorry you were not able to establish a new life in the new state.

I could do with a PA at he moment, to help with some of my more mundane stuff, but also to remind me, and point me in that I need to do.

Some days I'm so busy, I cant make my mind up what I should do next, so end up procrastinating, and achieving nothing!!

I do that now. I have a few things I should do, can't decide where to start, so I don't. I still have a ton of stuff that needs unpacking and I have been here for almost two years. ::sigh::

If you haven't used them for two years, do you need to keep them?

It is mostly books, a few clothes, and a few kitchen items I would really like to find. But mostly it is books. When I retired I dumped a ton of stuff. When I got ready to move, I dumped two tons of stuff, and somehow I still have too much stuff. But getting rid of books is very, very hard for me. Even though I did get rid of many of them, the ones I couldn't let go still add up to a lot. This darn house keeps shrinking on me. LOL

Books are wonderful things, especially reference books, be it history, cooking or whatever your little niche is.

I'm less fond of novels, as once you've read them you ditch them unless it really was a good read (or maybe a classic and you feel you should have it on your shelves)

Just got a message from a friend asking me to come sailing on Sunday so Maybe I wont spend the whole weekend doing nothing after all:D
