Books are wonderful things, especially reference books, be it history, cooking or whatever your little niche is.

I'm less fond of novels, as once you've read them you ditch them unless it really was a good read (or maybe a classic and you feel you should have it on your shelves)

I am more of a novel person. One of the good things about a lousy memory is that I can reread the stories several times.

I wrote a poem today that I'm kinda proud of.

Its like the good ones that the real poets do... got all gnarly little shiny bits and letters and stuff.

You have a way of hitting me emotionally with your poetry. You use words in a way that it would never occur to me. But I admit to preferring light hearted or funny poetry or poetry that tells a story. Too much heart string pulling is hard on my heart.

I published a whole lot of poems from my thread on the story side of lit this week. All the sexy ones in one submission and all the non erotic in another.

Hope the outside world people like them. I'm always a little worried that my friends like my poems because they are my friends and that people who don't know me won't like them.

I was never nervous when my stories got published I'm a bit nervous about the poems.

Okay, maybe a little nerd, but not a geek. I have siblings that are geeks so I know what that is. But they are a lot nerdy too. Trivia experts, war game mongers, SciFi readers and Japanese anime experts.

Okay, I done hit the wall. Need to get some sleep so I can function a little tomorrow.
