Ask yourself; when did America stop being the world leader in achievements and advances for mankind and instead became the nation where every society which follows your ideology began to use expletives against it and those became commonplace on the world stage.

I would guess it refers to the period between WWII and the mid-'70s, when it was possible for a white man, at least, with only a high-school education to earn a middle-class income. "Guys like us they had it made / Those were the days."

We thought they never end. I worked in a steel mill for awhile. Great pay at the time and you could enjoy life, as long as you were white!
