The "Fuck you cancer!" thread

She did. I have a lot of people looking out for me. The office was closed today. I’ll make an appointment tomorrow.
:rose:
If you have a good doctor that you'll see again, have them do a skin map. Even if nothing is wrong now, it helps to have a record of freckles, moles, growths, and discolourations. It gives them a way to track changes. It's a valuable tool. (For someone like me, anyway. I have a plethora of freckles!)
:)

I stripped down for the doc and she said the place I was concerned about looks good (!) as well as everything else, and that it was smart to come in. I am relieved and it has been a great week.

Glad you are being dommed into that, Far, and thanks for the skin map idea, Soltiera. That makes complete sense, although I don’t think I have had one.

Glad to hear that it was good news. My dermatologist did a skin map for me when I first started seeing her and reviews it each year. I have a family history of skin cancer, but have been fortunate thus far.

Got some bad news today, and now I can’t sleep. Fuck.

I’m sorry!:rose:

Met with a great group of friends yesterday and as always when we meet we had a lot of fun but always mixed with sorrow for the one who will never be with us again, because she only got to be just over 40.
FYC!

💚

I have something on my face that needs looked at.

Don't delay, Fara. Better safe than sorry. Hopefully its nothing, good luck.

So happy to hear that everything turned out well, DGE.

Fuck you cancer.
You won't win.
It's not an option.

Whatever the situation and person involved is gracie, I'm wishing you/them well. Be strong. :rose:

That inner sinking feeling sucks! ((hugs))

***It's been some time since I've posted on this thread. I started over five years ago when my brother was initially diagnosed with cancer. Now, I can't believe it, but it's been five years since his war on cancer ended.

Sending love, prayers, and positive thoughts to any and all dealing with cancer in their lives. It not only affects the person, but has such a devastating ripple effect on everyone who loves and shares in their lives. It's a gut wrenching pain and heart breaking. Be strong:rose:

FYC!!

Felt the need for a bump to say FYC and sending out good thoughts for anyone needing them, without any need to answer or comment. :rose:

My new mother in law is 82 years old. She has been on HRT ever since menopause.

She has uterine cancer. Hysterectomy today.

Hands across the water, people.

Found out yesterday a 85 your old friend who had his prostate cancer return was buried yesterday.

Men - Get your damm PSA and DRE's every year.

ps: Fuck You Cancer

And it's recommended that men get their first PSA test between the ages of 45-49 to establish a baseline. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 49. Early detection increases the chances of successful treatment.

New MIL? What is this news?

I am so sorry. Reaching across to hold your hand - hope the surgery went well.

Fuck You Cancer.

Yep. We did it.
And, yes, the surgery went well...best possible outcome. Thanks to all for the good thoughts.

I just learned about this person yesterday.
He wasn't a friend, but an amazing person. Ivan Patzaichin died of lung cancer in September 2021. He was an athlete in 5 Olympics and medaled in each one. A coach for the Romanian Canoe team for another 5 Olympics. I am honored to have his canoe from the Los Angeles Olympics and was able to have him autograph the canoe cover of his boat at the Atlantic Olympics.
7 Olympic medals, 4 of Gold and 22 World championship medals.

In my family, cancer claimed my ex, two cousins, three aunts and tried to take my partner. Add to the list several school friends and several other friends.

Cancer Sucks!
Fuck you cancer with a red hot branding iron

Post any and all special valentines and notes for cellfucking intruder here.
Been many years since I was on this sight. Last time was me personally saying fuck you to cancer. Today I post on behalf of my love. I have loved this man for almost 40 years and 2 summers ago he joined the "fuck yes I have cancer club." But this is the greatest Valentine's gift he could have given me....his new scans show he is in remission from stage 3 colorectal cancer.

* Fuck You Cancer.....you insidious creeper you *
