The "Fuck you cancer!" thread

I am just sending thoughts and care to all suffering or dating for those suffering.

Lovely gesture and one I should o more often! I , too, am sending positive thoughts and prayers to all who struggle against cancer or support those who do! Lots of research showing those positive attitudes matter! Big giant air hugs sent your way too!
 FUCK YOU CANCER!

I think its hard to get the balance right. Positivity is important but so is space to feel heard in the roundness of the doubt and fear and depth of darkness. I don't visit here so often because I think my usual brand of 'silver linings' is not appropriate in this space, but care and good wishes are. :rose:

You are right. Being able to talk about doubt and fear is very important.

Love the positivity...thank you...

I may vent here but I am determined to beat this disease and I live my life not letting it get me down....attitude is everything!!!

Sending you hugs. Vent all you need to. Having a good attitude will help you lots in many ways... but having a safe place to say whatever you need to when it just is too hard to feel okay on those days when it all goes to crap is okay too.

kisses for your journey.
just let us know what you need.

So it is now time for me to subscribe to the thread. Found out Tuesday I am dancing with prostate "C", too early to rate it, more tests on the way. Outlook is positive following surgery, but still too early to call.

I actually see all the C&B play I have done over the years as teaching me a lot about how this plumbing works and I don't view the procedures as "invasive", at least not yet.

I plan on looking over past posts here.

Rants and yelling may follow. I'm glad this thread is here. :rose:

Hi Shank,
Sorry to hear that you're the newest subscriber. What I DO know is that you'll find a myriad of uplifting, resourceful people here who are always willing to listen or help. "Outlook is positive" are the words to focus on right now. :rose:

(and ranting and yelling are encouraged!)

FYC!

<screaming at the Universe> Enough already!!!!!!

I just learned that a friend of mine (ex GF of a close friend who I learned to love on her own) has been hit. She had gastric bypass surgery a few weeks ago, and had a complication involving swelling and the need for a CT. The swelling is treatable BUT meanwhile they discovered a mass on her left which, it turns out, involves her spleen, part of her pancreas and the artery supplying her left kidney. So between Xmas and New Years she has to have a very delicate surgery to yank it all out. She is in good spirits but fuuuuuuck! She's too far away for me to do anything in person, but at least she has a GoFundMe for her medical expenses. I wish I could do more.

My brother got the diagnosis earlier this year. He got 'seeded' (tiny radioactive pellets) because they found it early. Six months later and his PSA had dropped to within normal limits. Hang in there! While "C" is never a good thing, at least this variety is fairly easy to treat and conquer. HUGS to you! :rose:

Dammit! I just learned that another dear friend (and amazing artist) has succumbed after 9 years battling breast cancer, including two remissions. FUCK YOU CANCER!!!!

That part is so difficult.
