I'm grateful for my mom, who is my best friend. She always makes me laugh and feel better about life in general.

One of our parents had chest pains on a plane. A dr on the plane assisted and on landing the parent was fitted with a stent; crisis averted, no death or major drama. Everything dealt with wonderfully. Flight crew, airport, and hospital were all amazing we are told. It makes me joyful to hear of these things going right, the plans none of us want to need.

I'm grateful for him. Even when everything turns shit and I wonder if we can make it one more day...I'm grateful. We always cobble it together and continue on. Our relationship may be duct taped and super glued but it still holds. No one has seen me but him. He sees me. He knows. He accepts.
