I myself don't send PMs anymore, but I can say that those times I did, had information in their profiles, didn't ask for "naughty or sexy" texts and you could kind of get a feel for who they were by their interactions on the board.

When I started this thread, I was hoping that the men would see what the women originally posted, about what made them PM guys.

I can only speak for myself now. I no longer send messages cause too many people come and go, and I'd just prefer not to get involved any longer.

I do wish everyone the best of luck though and hope you all find plenty of PMs

I end to never really reach out unless the person has SOMETHING in their profile and after seeing them posting on the boards to see what type of person they are.

Dirty talk, I don't think that ever happened right away. At least a few back and forths, again to get to know them.

I don't need dirty talk tho I don't run away from it. A friendly conversation goes a lot farther. A little flirting inflates my ego a bit and makes me smile the rest of the day.

AS for people coming and going....I'm guilty in that if I feel I'm getting TO connected with someone I tend to start pulling back a little. Otherwise, from a male POV, the women seem to come and go pretty fast also. A lot of the names I have on IM are no longer posting here on lit
