There’s a big split in Democratic circles between NIMBYs and YIMBYs. The YIMBYs are pro-density and want to build lots of new housing. The NIMBYs are older homeowners who want to protect their investment.

yes, i have a comment... as an ex-Londoner I am fully aware that these wannabe-nazi scum have always existed and pride themselves on their hatred for anyone with a darker skin.... they don't give a shit if the 'alien' is a fair-skinned Swede or Finn, french or German, but they do love to beat up on 'darkies' because they feel they don't belong in the UK. As every election cycle has shown, this reflects a bare minimum of Brits and are the equivalent of magats, same thicko mentality stirred up into demonstrations of hatred by the better-educated rabble-rousers keen to score a political image.

most Brits recognise the scum are as far removed from being "patriots" loving their country as can be possible, and do a grand job of standing up against them and calling out their shit.
you'd do well right in there amongst them, but be sure to dress 'straight' since they'd beat your arse bloody and spit on you into the bargain even as you cry "but i'm on YOUR side!"
