The Jeffinator's Lounge

I'm so excited playing Fable II that I think I want to do an rp on it. It'd take place in medieval Albion, where the Heroes' Guild is trying to keep the peace in the land, investigate rumors of corruption within the ranks of the Temple of Light, and keep the secretive yet threatening Temple of Shadows at bay. My idea for this is that at first, the Temple of Shadows succeeds in their dark plot to restore the Black Spire and all it's dark powers. For several years, darkness and chaos ravage the world.

Basically, we'd be playing two generations -- first we play characters who live in the world prior to and during the Shadow Wars. Then, when the Dark Empire claims Albion, we fast forward the story to the time of our characters' children at adulthood. In the second part, our characters' kids have mostly only known this new dark world, having been infants or toddlers when the Shadow Wars occured.

In the first part, players can either be on the side of Light trying to stop the darkness, or on the side of the Shadows and aiding it. I for one plan on making three main chars -- A Priest, a Hero, and a Dark Priest.

Oh, did I mention I discovered a way to make my Hero a filthy rich god in Fable II? Well, when you own poperty, it brings in gold every five minutes you are playing, and every hour you are not playing. So, I bought a few houses, jacked the rent up, bought a few shops, jacked the prices up, then saved my game, went into the X-Box 360 Dashboard, changed the internal clock to say it was actually the year 2025, then went into my game and I had just as much gold as if I had gotten it every hour for 20 years. Then I jumped the clock backwards to 2005, saved, then turned it back to 2025 again, and my gold doubled. Then I used all that money to buy more stuff, and repeated this over and over. Needless to say, my Hero now owns almost every piece of property in the areas I have been to, and has about 1.5 million gold, bringing in about ten grand every five minutes.

Now, you can buy special potions to increase XP, but these go out of stock fast. The trick to becoming a god is using a second controller. I haven't done this one myself yet, but today's payday and I plan on buying a second controller to do it. Fable II lets a second player jump in as a henchman to the first. If you create an on the spot Hero instead of using your char from another saved game, they come into your world with all your abilities. Now, you can have the henchman unlearn all his abilities, which returns all his XP to the XP Pool. Then, have the henchman jump out of the game, and since there is no previously saved game for him to return to, everything in his XP Pool it transfered to the main Hero. Use this XP to enhance all your abilities, then bring the henchman back in, who will also have your enhanced abilities, and thus leave you even more XP when he jumps back out. Do this over and over again until everything is maxed :). Now I can say I beat the game with out using cheat CODES. LMAO.

Nooooo!!! I mean, no sweat, hun. Hmmm... I've adapted my Fable RP idea into a synopsis for a series of novels in a reimagined version of my Zialaga world. I've also got a few scenes depicting an old inventor's plan to create a sort of "laser cannon" using magical crystals and several failed attempts resulting in rather humorous outcomes, such as the cannon becoming a sort of rocket on wheels and chasing villagers when he gives it too much power. Another such miscalculation finds the inventor blown back several yards and thrown up in a tree. One of the funniest has got to be when the inventor, showing off to a large group of people, has a string to start the cannon, not wanting to be too close after being blown up into a tree. However, when he pulls the string too hard, the cannon flips right over and faces the crowd, causing everyone to scream and run to get out of the way.

Confess! You've been watching Roadrunner cartoons again, haven't you?;)
hehehe

Yes, some of my ideas come from Wile E. Coyote's hilarious mistakes. I told my brother about some of the scenes with the inventor in my story, and he was cracking up. I also told him about the tragic beginning to the series that shows the twin main characters realizing they are magical, and he found that very exciting, hehe. Let's just say it ends with a massive thunderstorm and the two boys looking scared over a landscape littered with the burnt bodies of the bandits that had been terrorizing their village for years.

Shuu will hate you for even suggesting that the DB movie will be anything but crap. lol

also...I need about $550.....need to replace my desktop for the internet ASAP

preferably with This

I don't care what Shuu thinks. I think the movie looks sweet. Seeing a real life Goku yelling "KAAA.. MEEE... HAAA... MEEE... HAAA!!!" just sent me into a fit of excitement.

it would me too, if not for the previous Dragon Ball movie...and the live action Sailor Moon....

Though, in defense of live action adaptations of anime, I offer the Speed Racer movie, which, while everyone called it CHEESY, was, if anything, not cheesey ENOUGH

Speed Racer was OKAY, and although I haven't seen Transformers yet, everyone says it was awesome. That was based off an anime too. And the previous DB movie doesn't count since it was a low budget chinese film made like fifteen years ago. For those that don't know, Goku is based off Sun Wukong, the cloud-hopping Monkey King from the classic chinese story Journey to the West. Goku doesn't cloud-hop, but he has the Nimbus Cloud.

As for Dragonball Evolution, the budget is over $100 million, and so far the trailer shows some awesome special effects. Though Lord Piccolo -- the main villain of the movie -- looks different than his anime counterpart. He's still green, but he doesn't appear to be Namekian. They did change the whole origin story -- Thousands of years ago, Piccolo was good, but eventually turned down a darker path. After plaguing the world with his evil, seven mystics came together and created the Dragonballs, using their power to seal Piccolo away.

Now, Piccolo is free and hunting down the Dragonballs. Goku must seek Roshi, receive special training, and then hunt down the Dragonballs before Piccolo. Along the way, Goku meets Bulma and Yamcha, and supposedly he knows Chi Chi from school -- Yes, at the beginning of the movie, we see Goku as a teenager in high school.

Incorrect. The Transformers live action movie (of which there is a sequel coming up this year) is based off an anime that is based off a Marvel Comics property.

Also....I've heard a lot of people say they hated it. I'm the most hardcore Transformer fan you will ever find, and I say BOLLOCKS upon those who hate it. the plot may be fairly weak, but it does true homage to the Transformers.

hmm...I had an evil idea for an RP,. but it would require the femme taking up the role of my partner to have read the Jay Naylor comic Rachel's Confession

Generation One (G1) is a retroactive term for the Transformers characters that appeared between 1984 and 1992. The Transformers began with the 1970s Japanese toy lines Microman and Diaclone. The former utilized varying humanoid-type figures while the latter presented robots able to transform into everyday vehicles, electronic items or weapons. Hasbro, fresh from the success of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toyline, which utilised the Microman technology to great success, bought the Diaclone toys, and partnered with Takara.[2] Jim Shooter and Dennis O'Neil were hired by Hasbro to create the backstory, the latter of whom christened Optimus Prime.[3] Afterwards, Bob Budiansky created most of the Transformers characters, giving names and personalities to many unnamed Diaclone figures.[4] The primary concept of G1 is that the heroic Optimus Prime, the villainous Megatron, and their finest soldiers crash land on pre-historic Earth in the Ark and the Nemesis before awakening in 1984, Cybertron hurtling through the heavens as an effect of the war. The Marvel comic was originally part of the main Marvel Universe, with appearances from Spider-Man and Nick Fury, plus some cameos,[5] as well as a visit to the Savage Land.[6]

Can't wait for the dragonball movie, though, because all i seem to watch these days is Dragonball / Z / GT, i'm a bit upset that roshi doesn't look like roshi.... he better still be a pervert!!! apart from that it looks good, and i can't wait to see it.

Transformers was bloody awesome, I thoroughly enjoyed it and i can't wait for the sequel (I especially liked the really small decepticon who started banging his head when things didn't work lol)

Haven't seen Speed Racer lol.

*Needs a RP to be part of*

On a different note, I just finished my final exam of the past semester!! No More Exams till May / June! Yay!

that was Soundwave....and he was NOT as cool as the original version.

whee, flashback. The Ark, as you call it, was actually Omega Supreme. It was a massive scale transformer that got damaged on the way to earth, and lost the ability to transform until much later (it was never shown transforming in the original show). The onboard computer is referred to as Teletron One. The Nemesis, however, was a Decepticon Battle Cruiser...Megatron's Flagship, of all things. Unlike The Ark, it was fully armed and capable of wiping most of the planet of the life on it.

Dudes... We just watched Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, and I have to say, as hilarious as Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle was, this movie is ten times funnier... Man, this shit made me laugh my ass off.
